If you're looking for a fantastic beach to spend quality time with your family, Torquay Beach is the place to go! The beach is incredibly family-friendly, with gentle waves and soft sand that's perfect for kids to play on. Our children absolutely loved building sandcastles and splashing around in the shallow waters.

Getting to Torquay Beach from Melbourne CBD is a breeze - it only takes about 1 to 1.5 hours by car. The drive itself is quite pleasant, with beautiful scenery along the way.

One of the great things about Torquay Beach is that the surrounding area has plenty of excellent restaurants. After a fun-filled day at the beach, you can easily find a nice spot to grab a bite to eat with the family. There's a good variety of cuisines available, so everyone can find something they like.

Overall, Torquay Beach is an ideal destination for a family day out. With its kid-friendly atmosphere, convenient location, and great nearby amenities, it ticks all the boxes for a perfect beach getaway. Highly recommended for families looking to create some wonderful memories together!

It’s a very nice beach, especially on a sunny day. The town of Torquay is one of my favourite places nearby Melbourne, which is just around 40-60 minutes drive away from Melbourne CBD.

You can swim, surf or simply lay down on the beach. It also offers a few cafes nearby where you can have some proper lunch or simply grab a tea or a coffee

The beach is absolutely amazing, offering breathtaking views and plenty of delicious dining options nearby. Plus, you'll find convenient shower facilities and an outdoor rinse shower area.

Beautiful. I liked the fact there were bins and dog poo bags available. Shame some people didn't use them. This is a gorgeous beach and a great place for a long walk in lovely scenery.

Absolutely stunning watching the morning sun rise over the beach. If you're not a fan of dogs it may upset you because it was puppy paradise with no less than 30 furry friends hanging out with their owners, playing in the water, on the beach, off lead/on lead and dear little Peggy who had accidentally stole someone's ball according to her Mum. It was just magical to see happy floofs everywhere. After the early morning rush came the families and sunbathers. A perfect set of tiny shore breakers to help the little ones learn the ropes, in September I would highly recommend a wetsuit, at 14 degrees little people get a touch chilly. Totally 1 of my top 5 reasons for coming back in November but this time with our own dog too!

We had a great day here. The beach access was not far from the road and there's a long stretch of beach u can choose from and pop a tent down and enjoy.
Great for families, dogs 🐕 absolutely anyone and the water at low tide is great for kids to paddle in.

A very great beach overall. Has some rough surf during low tide but not particularly too hard to deal with if you're a decent swimmer. Parking is okay here as well, the beach is easy to access.

One of the best beach to enjoy during a sunny day. I have been there for two birthday parties with my partner. Highly recommend to everyone to visit this place and enjoy beer and food at beach facing restaurants there

Beautiful beach, always clean. Lots of people out walking with their dogs off leash so just be aware, there is public toilets, and plenty of beach space. There is a boat launch place and cafe on beach front for your coffee

The sand beach is short, mostly mud. But the ocean view is great.

Had a great day out with the fam at Torquay Beach. Lots of people out enjoying the weather on long weekend. Very nice beach, lots of eating venues near by. Also there are public male/female toilet block and an outdoor rinse shower area.

Parked off main road and had to walk a short bit. Very easy.

Overall very nice place and beautiful part of Victoria. Can't wait to visit again soon!

Stunning, beautiful, and pretty beach; amazing sunrises and sunsets; very clean facilities and plenty of space to have a family picnic, or to safely kick the footy; lots of car parking and easy 5 minute walk to the Torquay town centre; to have some yummy food, a coffee or to grab some fish and chips, to have on the beach.

Excellent beach with many picnic locations for BBQ and hanging out with family and friends. One of the most maintained and popular beaches near Melbourne.

Well maintained beach (although there was still some litter flying around) and a lovely assortment of native plant species. The beach isn’t particularly busy, or at least on the day I went it wasn’t. But it’s still a nice place for a day out, worth visiting even to just take your dog for a walk.
