Mac's Hotel

Staff were fantastic and friendly. We had our meal in the courtyard with our two dogs. Staff came out and turned on the heaters as soon as they knew we were there. Food was quick and tasted amazing, if we were in town another night we would have gone back. Definitely recommend 🙂

Had the schnitzel special with parmi topping, absolutely delicious. Service with a smile, beer garden with our dog under the lights and stars. Also great beer, highly recommend.

Great staff here. Really attentive people who want to add value to your night. Excellent meals and beer. Great selection of craft beers and a long list of amazing SA wines. You can’t go wrong with this place in MG.

Dined at the Bistro. Beautiful venue and great vibes. Ordered the chicken breast with mashed potato. Honestly the best chicken dish I’ve ever had.
Definitely coming back here.

We had a great dinner in the beer garden with our dog. Staff were so friendly and welcoming. Great atmosphere and beautiful decor inside, would recommend!

Went there for a meal with my spouse after driving all day,
Found happy hour was on so a $6 beer was quickly put away,
Chicken schnitzel and salt & pepper calamari were ordered just before kitchen opened for the night,
Which was bought to our bench where we watched cars slowing for the light.
Calamari was tender,not rubbery like some and the chicken was cooked to perfect-ion,
A sticky date pudding was shared which was more than alright
Then it was back to a clean cheap motor inn to rest for the night

Staying at the local caravan park and stopped in for Sunday lunch. The service was fantastic, facilities also great (many seating options including kid friendly room). The steak was the most delish I have had in ages. Couldn't fault our visit. Went for a stroll to the towns sunken garden after our meal. Great spot.

Meet 3 times a year at this great Hotel. Dining staff have been lovely every visit and my group of between 9 & 18 people each visit are always very happy with their service and food. We are always happy to return. 😀

Absolutely fantastic, very clean restaurant, indoor and outdoor options, and happy staff. Fantastic food.
Play room seems to be chair storage, so kids were a little disappointed. But still all stars. Food was spot on.

Chickens schnitzel is great! Chips were nice and crispy, gravy and parmi topping were spot on. Really good service and specials - it’s a very cozy pub.

All i wanted to say, food was great. It was mouth watering. That Punjabi dude was really talented guy. Friendly staff, excellent location Can’t wait to visit here again .

Loved it!! Staff and Management were faultless and incredibly friendly. Customer Service was perfect. Facilities and premises was spotless. Food was incredible and very generous servings. Hats off to the chef. Steak was to my specifications perfectly and service was quick. The building is gorgeous and tastefully restored to perfection. Iv stayed in the rooms on several occasions as they are comfortable cozy and meticulously clean. I live in Gawler and frequently drive all the way there just for the steak or fish. Can;t review it enough to do it justice as it deserves so much more than 5 stars

The Cider Garden provides a very fun evening. Lots of drinks to choose from, mostly independent brewers, and the regular food menu is nice, plenty of things to shake up the traditional menu. Cosy during winter and Tristan makes you feel welcome weather a solo diner or a larger group.

I was impressed by the atmosphere created by Torren, the service was outstanding. I am particular about my pizza ( I'm European) and can say with authority Mac's Salty pig pizza get my vote. In fact I would say Mac's pizza pastry is the best in Mount Gambier
