I ordered online from Gardenarium for their wide range of trees (including a variety of apple I've been having trouble finding in my state), and willingness to ship interstate to me.

The trees that arrived were in great condition considering the transit and I'm very happy with them, and the varieties I needed were all in stock.

I was, however - disappointed in the customer service. I understand as a business, particularly during a pandemic, things can get busy and understaffing happens. I also understand when it's hard to answer customer enquiries quickly if you're dealing with all this (and you're outside during the day and can't get to a computer).
I don't think this forgives using a condescending tone when a customer enquires about an order 4 weeks with no updates to the order at all (for example, how much the order is going to actually cost?!).

The website is confusing (with information mentioning 2019, making it difficult to know if the website is actually up-to-date), the ordering process is antiquated (with you having to fill out a word document for your order, and no way to verify the order total without making a specific enquiry), and the after-order care is very poor indeed.

Despite the great end-product, these all make it very difficult for me to recommend, unless there is a species you can't find anywhere else, and you're willing to run the gauntlet for it.

Such a horrible and abusive customer service. Their passive aggression was obvious from the start but I put it off as stress. That was my mistake.
The complete and utter disregard and disrespect for their customers is atrocious. While trying to get information about how much I was going to pay or when my trees were going to be shipped, I was met with blatant hostility and rudeness. They do not care for you, they will not respect you even in you’re willing to pay. They do not respect your money!

If they want to improve this business, and get better reviews, they should fire the existing customer service and replace them with actually trained or just nice human beings. People that can actually treat people as people, and not as a literal dirt, less than dirt even.

Their range of trees does not make up for their horrible nature. They should never be customer driven business if they can’t deal with customers. If they keep going down this path, I don’t doubt that they’ll shutdown.

Do not give this business money. Do not give them your time. They don’t respect either.

If I could rate them 0 stars I would.

Although 'helpful' to use the term loosely, I found the online ordering process and communication confusing. I'm still not sure if I'm getting the tree I wanted or when it might arrive. Email order forms are percussed with lots of large, bold red text which isn't encouraging or helpful and my follow-up enquiries only seemed to further muddy the waters in what was an already confusing email conversation.

I’ve honestly never dealt with such rude people via email before in the nursery industry. Should have read the google reviews before engaging with them, looks like I’m not the only one. Very out of date systems, no way of keeping track of stock and will only take online payments via emailing them your credit card details in a word document.

I wholeheartedly agree with Sam's review. Customer service and general communication is appalling. Though I appreciate the inherent difficulties purchasing online and via email the whole process was far more difficult than it needed to be. It was impossible to get a clear answer re prices on items, emails were often passive aggressive in tone, condescending and at times downright rude and abusive. I have no issues with the products delivered but found the whole experience extremely unpleasant and only persisted as the products I wanted were not available anywhere else in South Australia.

Most disgusting business I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Gutless arrogant person who remains unnamed, messaging me with derogative comments, what a coward. Couldn’t handle honest comment about their ordering system. Refused to accept a hand written order. I’ve posted his disgusting rant on Facebook for all to read.

I have never encountered someone as rude as this person. I have been dealing with retailers on a daily basis for 45 years.

Do not support this business they don’t deserve you as a customer, furthermore they don’t appreciate their customers.

Horrible man, abusive and rude. Pre ordered my trees and arranged to have them ready for pick up at the back gate. Rang the business and gave notice of our pick up. The owner came storming out, then speared my trees into the trailer and then started to verbally abuse us in front of his customers in the middle of the road.
Believe the reviews, "Absolutley unhinged" - One that was 100% unprovoked.
I hate to write reviews like this but unfortunately this business owner really needs a good hard look at himself. Stay away from this business unless you like to be abused.
