Bower by the Sea

We loved our stay at Bower by the Sea.
- Rockstar location (within walking distance to the Ferry/Penneshaw Pub/Millie Mae’s, as well as the beach and gorgeous walks/hikes).
- Stunning views from the expansive deck offered ultimate relaxation.
- We also enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen and gorgeous new bathroom.
- Super comfy bed and the best night’s sleep
It was very hard to leave the view from that deck! Would stay again.
P.S. Suggest ignore old reviews – Bower by the Sea is under new ownership and has been upgraded.

I recently spent a wonderful four nights at Bower by the Sea in Penneshaw with my husband and three boys. It was so nice being so close to the ferry (after a long drive and ferry trip) and the short walk to the IGA, pub and coffee shops made everything easy. The boys wouldn't stop talking about the beautiful bathroom with heated floor, but I just loved the gorgeous high quality linens and a kitchen that had everything I could possibly need.
Most of all, the amazing view was what we loved most. I spent many hours lying on the day bed just staring out at the ocean, the ferries, the dolphins... The boys would walk down to fish from the jetty in the mornings, and I could see them with the binoculars.
Everything was clean and welcoming, and I really loved the nice quality products in the bathroom. Those little things really make a big difference.
I highly recommend the Ocean Safari swimming with seals and dolphins from Penneshaw as well. Amazing!
We can't wait to get back there!

Loved my time at Bower by the Sea. Amazing views overlooking the bay are what you are greeted with, along with ample room for 6 (3 bedrooms) and a kitchen, living and dining areas that were a great size for the 6 of us.

Close to all attractions it is an easy/enjoyable easy walk to the town centre and beach…..

Would definitely go back.

We highly recommend Bower by the Sea in Penneshaw. Our two night stay there was just perfect. The views are amazing, the property is very well presented and the hosts go above and beyond to make your experience memorable. We'll definitely be back.

We loved our 3 nights at Bower by the Sea. Very well equiped house and beds were so comfy too👏 everything we needed in the well appointed kitchen and bathroom with heated floor a real bonus.
The view were so special, so relaxing we didn’t want to leave.
Maybe a handrail on outside steps in front of house just for safety of older people would be great 🤷‍♀ thank you. We SHALL return.

Accommodation was spacious and had everything needed for an enjoyable stay. The views are just glorious and it's an easy walk to the pub, IGA and local coffee shop. The garage is handy for storing wet and sandy kit (though security was not really a concern). Decor was showing its age in places, and the board games provided were missing some pieces, but this was reflected in the price - it definitely provided good value for money and we'd happily book again.

We are here now. Beautiful location but the house isn't well maintained or cleaned. If that doesn't bother you, you'll love it. It's disappointing because we aren't here that long otherwise I would have cleaned it if we were here for a week or more.
