Willow Lodge

With a warm and generous host, we enjoyed four nights and days as guests in this gracious home, surrounded by a well-tended, meandering garden and beautiful views over the valley.
The suite room was large, clean and well appointed, the bed comfortable and warm and decorated with fresh roses from the garden.
Starting the day with a wonderful cooked breakfast prepared by our host we visited the local delights of Jantz and Pipersbrook, cycled the rail trail, the lakeside sauna at Derby, Barnbougle, to return to Willow Lodge and the warmth of the outdoor fire and the dazzling sunset skies.

A beautiful few days in Tasmania was capped off by our stay at Willow Lodge in Scottsdale.
What a find!
Willow Lodge is a gracious well cared for home set back from the road and surrounded by beautiful gardens.
I stayed in the Garden Room which was clean and tidy and well appointed. The bed was warm and cosy and little touches made the room feel very homely.
The host could not have been more obliging beginning with a hot cooked breakfast in the morning and ending with drinks by the outdoor fireplace in the evening.
He had a great knowledge area steering us to the best activities the region has to offer ... bike riding, wineries, the Floating Sauna at Derby and as golfers it was a short drive to Barnbougle and Lost Farm.

Fantastic place. Lovely owner with a great atmosphere. The complimentary wine was great and I actually got a real breakfast with bacon, eggs and cereal. Beautiful old Victorian house and gardens and I would so easily recommend this place to anyone.

If anyone is looking for a place to spend the night (or several) in Scottsdale would highly recommend this place! My partner and I stayed on the Fireplace Suite... Reasonably priced, very clean, stunning views!! And the new owner was an absolutely fantastic host! Will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful three nights over Christmas. Ross and Dean were wonderful hosts and the accommodation, garden and food were superb.

Beautiful accomodation. Comfortable bed and lovely cosy room. Hosts were very friendly and cooked a delicious breakfast. Gardens are also gorgeous.
