Australis Canoes

I had previously purchased two one-person Squid sit-on-tops from this company, and have been very happy with the results. Many, many fun hours were enjoyed in the surf by the family over the years. This month, after considerable research, I bought their 2/3 seater Lynxx (one or two adults plus possible child) principally for use in coastal estuaries, lakes or protected bays. As usual, fantastic and knowledgeable service from Australis Canoes.

The Lynxx's characteristics match our current needs very well: specifically we now need a robust and buoyant two seater craft that is light enough for my wife and I to easily load and unload, yet big enough to be suitable for two adults plus the occasional grandchild, and, importantly, safe and suitable for frisky waters such as the salt-water Lake Illawarra.

My Australis Gecko sea kayak is fantastic! Light enough that I can handle it myself off the water (even onto the car), but tough enough to learn in. It's great fun out on the Bay or flatwater river. Service from the Australis team was excellent, including a test paddle. Highly recommended.

They make great kayaks! Getting out on my surf kayak is a breeze! I have the ocky. It just sails over the tips of the waves! I love it. Best kayak I have ever had.

After extensively researching light weight kayaks suitable for a retired couple we chose stacking Foxx sit on tops.
We drove to Wollingong to collect them and Jane and the staff were helpful and knowledgeable. Their anti theft roof rack straps are excellent and we bought an integeated waterproof box, garage hoists and 2 piece paddle which adjusts the blade angles to accommodate wrist injury. We even toured the factory.

Very helpful, they know their stuff. Bought two "Foxxs" with some gear and life jackets. Very happy.
