Echuca Paddlesteamers

An hour well spent on the Pevensey along the River Murray. The crew were very approachable and friendly. Informative commentary en route. Fascinating to watch the steam engine working. Snacks and drinks available on board.

Lots of fun and excellent talk on the river/steam paddle vessels. We also went to Morrison wines for lunch as part of this trip, which was fabulous.

1 hour cruise on the Murray river in an old steamer makes me feel so relax, ice cream and wine were offered on the steamer and you can also see how the steam machine works. Advance booking of tickets is recommended and thanks to the staff here to help me with print my tickets (cause I don’t receive the booking email after payment but thank God the staff here are nice and helpful!)

What a lovely experience. Good value for money, great part fo Australian History. Went on the hour tour on the 'P.S Canberra'. It has vasic snacks and drinks aboard. Some travellers also had a winery tour which saw them disembark and have lunch at the local winery. Echuca in general was just lovely.

Best experience possible for all ages. Able to watch steam engine operation, and enjoy the Murray River as you steam along. Very reasonable prices.

A lovely and relaxing journey down the Murray River. It’s about an hour ride. Beer and snacks are on sale onboard. Friendly and informative crew. Sit near the engine if you find it too chilly on the upper deck.

Visited the historic Port of Echuca in Jan23. Went up and down the Murray in PS Pevensey, a restored paddle steamer that is over a 100 years old! Its an experience to remember - like watching a period movie, live! Spice it up with a beer and skipper’s hat (available for sale on board!)

We bought the tickets online the previous day, but these are also on sale over the counter at the Port.

Plenty of parking available 100m from the wharf.

The cruise is an hour (other Paddlesteamers around that also offer longer cruises including meals), so there’s choice.

A wonderful experience on board the PS Alexander Arbuthnot. Brilliant and informative commentary and very helpful and friendly staff on board. They provide lots of photo opportunities, including for children 'steering' the paddlesteamer.

Dogs are allowed on too, and are even given their own boarding pass which is cute!

Would highly recommend booking a paddlesteamer trip for the whole family when in the area.

My family toured on the paddle steamer Canberra on Sunday. It was a relaxing and gentle way to spend our morning.
Commentary on the ride was funny. cheeky and entertaining when you consider there's not a lot to see.
Lastly, letting the kids steer the boat for a little was a really nice touch.
We'd happily come back again.
There was some basic facilities on the boat (eg kiosk with some drinks and a few snacks), so I'd ensure if it's a hot day, bring your own.
I'd also line up early so you can have choice of seat on board.

We took the cruise with lunch included at Morrison's Winery.
Lovely Ride down River and a beautiful lunch and return trip back to Echuca Wharf.
The Captain and Staff were brilliant, We would definitely recommend this Trip to anyone.

1 hour ride they had alcoholic beverages for sale, I bought 2 stubby holders & a captains cap, was a lovely ride on the Murray river

We had such a great time on our paddlesteamer ride. We loved that it was dog friendly, with Mabel the Bulldog welcomed aboard along with the rest of the passengers. Mabel's biggest issue was not being allowed to jump overboard and go for a swim. We have talked about heading back for another ride this year. Definitely recommended!

A really great experience and well worth doing if in Echuca. The commentary from the captain was genuinely insightful and character filled. Best buy tickets in advance.

Loved this. We've done it before, but this time we had the best person telling about everything around us. We were on The Canberra this time & The lovely lady driving the boat,telling stories,great jokes,do natural. Made this a fun & special trip. 🥰🥰

Visited the PS Pevensey on a Friday evening. It is in dock for the evening and a great place to sit on the deck, enjoy a drink and watch the river flow. Asked about local Echuca brewery beers but they don't stock them which was a bit disappointing, they do stock local Moama brewery beer though. It is free to board on a Friday when docked

We had a wonderful time on the Echuca Paddlesteamers cruise on the Murray River. The 110-year-old paddle steamer Canberra was a great way to experience the beauty of nature and learn about the history of the region. The one-hour trip was very relaxing, and the history talk added an educational touch to the experience. Overall, we highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area.

We did the winery cruise , just perfect , the Crew were fantastic and the lady engineer was super passionate and very informative. Great lunch and beverage super good value 👌🧑‍🍳

Got heavy rain as we boarded .. the crew were awesome the cruise couldn’t go ahead but we stayed on boat until rain eased up were offered a platter and drink complimentary. Excellent service
