Resort Lookout

Great walk, steep in parts and pays to take smaller steps on the gravelly bits. Rated 'Moderate' and that seems about right. Easier in the mild weather we had (21 degrees). If the first 100 or so paces dont bother you you'll be fine, though there are steeper sections. Well worth it. Photos don't do it justice. Can even watch planes taking off. And the binoculars do work, but may need a bit of an 'Operators tap' to drop open the shutter if it has closed itself up. Good magnification.

Not a very long walk/run but it’s actually surprisingly difficult because it is so humid!! Most of the hike is uphill as you’d imagine, but the incline is quite small. Towards the end, there’s a larger hill with an unsealed road that you have to go up. It’s quite steep and rocky but it takes you straight up to the lookout. There are binoculars at the top of the lookout but they don’t work. However, the view itself is good enough without needing them!

Actually found the walk up to this lookout a little tougher than expected. We approached from Coral Cove, which is pretty, but hilly. Great views out over the resort and towards the Whitsunday Islands. Interpretive panel and a small platform. Short walk downhill back to the resort.

We are 60 plus years old and reasonably fit. It wasnt to hard on our old bones ha.

The hike can be difficult if your coming from the general aviation side, but it’s 100% worth the wait. Spent more time taking in the views than the hike, bring water.

Better view than the catseye lookout.

Again, not overly strenuous if you're in shape, I did it in thongs for example.

Beautiful to see the sunrise. Track is mostly dirt and rock but is well looked after. Little steep at parts. 360 view of the whole island is amazing.

Quite a steep ascent, almost fully open to sun but the views are gorgeous n totally worth it. Can see the 360deg of the island.

Good trail run up to the top, and magnificent views to the bay!

The view from the top is well worth the hot walk up,Do remember your water tho you will need it .
