Blue Lake Holiday Park

My family and I recently had the pleasure of staying at BIG4 Blue Lake Holiday Park in Mount Gambier, and our experience in the Lakeside Villa was nothing short of exceptional.

The Lakeside Villa, our chosen accommodation, was a true luxury haven. The two bedrooms were beautifully appointed, with the main bedroom boasting a comfortable queen-size bed and a stunning designer ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom, equipped with a queen-size bed and a set of single bunks, made it an ideal retreat for a couple with children. The presence of a second bathroom, a well-designed kitchen, and a spacious living area added to the overall comfort and convenience.

The staff at BIG4 Blue Lake Holiday Park deserve special commendation for their outstanding service. Their warmth, friendliness, and eagerness to assist made our stay truly memorable. They were always ready to provide helpful recommendations and ensured that we felt welcomed throughout our time at the park.

The location of the holiday park couldn't have been more perfect. Nestled in the heart of Mount Gambier, it offered easy access to the town's attractions. However, what truly stole the show was the proximity to the Blue Lake. The stunning views of the lake were a constant delight, creating a serene and picturesque backdrop to our stay.

In conclusion, our experience at BIG4 Blue Lake Holiday Park exceeded all expectations. The Lakeside Villa provided a luxurious and comfortable retreat, the staff went above and beyond, the location was ideal, and the views of the Blue Lake were simply breathtaking. This is the nicest and most beautiful caravan park I’ve personally ever stayed at. The grounds and units are impeccably clean and very well maintained. There is an indoor pool and walking trails that lead to amazing views. The holiday units are very comfortable,spacious and cozy and I really liked the detail of the light above the bathroom mirror when shaving. The staff are very friendly and keep guests informed via SMS with info from stuff about the cafe to power and water outages from works. Only negative I can think of is as a 6’2” guy the shower unit is a bit on the tight side and the free wifi was intermittent.
Overall it was a very pleasant experience and I’m planning on making this a definite yearly destination.

Such a pretty park, with beautiful gardens, very well spread out. We had a powered site, close to amenities. Amenities had new rain showers which were wonderful. Great location across the road from Blue Lake with fabulous walks. So much for kids to do & the new indoor pool park was very popular.

So beautiful. Cabins absolutely gorgeous and spacious. Kitchen facility awesome. Etc etc best accommodation most definitely.

Great location with easy access. We stayed in the new cabins. They were clean and well sized. The park was nice and quiet as well.

Highly recommend if your looking for a place to stay.

Not all cabins are disabled accessible if that’s a concern.

They are also redoing the pool at the time of writing and looks like it will be a great place when it’s done. We will come back again.

Very well located so can go for a morning walk to the blue lake and in the middle of many attractions. The campsites are not spacious enough. Facilities are bit old but neat and clean

First time caravanning to Blue Lake Holiday Park, great experience, and is very roomy for 20ft caravns.
Close to town, amenities are great and well kept. Perfect for kids

Clean, fresh and modern cabins. The daily towel service was the icing on the cake. The WiFi here is very good. A lovely peaceful and tranquil spot within walking distance of Blue Lake. Lovely views from our cabin. I look forward to returning. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We stay in a 2 bedroom bungalow each time we come down. Whilst a little more expensive than other caravan parks in the area it is worth it for the amazing customer service, the clean and well maintained grounds and the great accommodation. We had an issue with our bathroom light tripping the other lights in the cabin, we rang the after hours number and someone was there within minutes to check it out. Our son loves the games room and the play area. Unfortunately they are currently building a new pool so we were unable to utilise it this time around however we are excited to use it next year!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom cabin (54) and it was clean, modern, comfortable and spacious. The heating was brilliant during a very cold, rainy weekend, beds were comfortable and the shower was perfect. There was even a spa and a TV in every bedroom in addition to the main living room. Will definitely be back in future. I loved that we were in walking distance of the Blue Lake and surrounding parks and trails too.

This place is first class. Friendly reception is always a good start then the map and signage to the cabin was good. The budget cabin is Immaculate. Can't fault it at all. Heaps of room for a family of 5 and the location next to Valley and Blue Lake is hard to beat. Still only 3 mins drive to town as well. Definitely be back here.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed in one of the 2 bedroom retreat cabins. They’re very spacious and kitchen is well equipped. I requested one of the free high chairs meaning less to pack in the car. The park is in an ideal location, walking distance from the beautiful Blue Lake and Valley Lake.

absolutely loved our stay at blue lake. facilities were well looked after and the staff were all so warm and welcoming.
kids enjoyed the games room and the playground.
can't wait to visit again in the future

Great amenities, staff are very welcoming and lovely. Some sites may require chocking up to level out, but there are plenty of sites on offer on the luscious green grass. Plenty of things to keep the kids entertained. Walking distance to the Blue Lake. It looks the pool will be completed for the summer 👍

Awesome caravan park! Very clean, tidy and situated between some stunning scenery!
My only concern was the shower- my daughter could have really burnt herself ( and I experienced the same) where the temperature fluctuates- like when another shower is turned on yours goes extremely cold- then u try to ride it out- but it’s very cold in the evenings! Then u adjust slightly- stays cold for a bit then scalding hot!
Maybe have a chat to ur plumber cos I’ve never experienced this in other parks!
Just some feedback- but it doesn’t change anything- we still loved our stay!!!! See u when the pool opens 👍
