JJ's at The Marina

Got the best service from Kyle, he brought us a shared bowl without being asked. He took care us very well told us our main dishes would arrive in 2 minutes and they did. Smiley, friendly, attentive, diligent.

Husband and I dined here last night, food and service was phenomenal. When we asked questions the staff were well educated on their menu which was honestly so refreshing! Cocktails were to die for, the gentleman serving them clearly has some talent behind the bar! Views are just stunning and set the mood! Especially at sunset. Generous serving sizes, I was unable to finish mine but grateful staff allowed me to take the rest home to snack on later! Although Batemans Bay was a pitt-stop in our journey, I think we might find ourselves wishing JJs was closer to home! Thanks for a great night!

It’s very strange this place only has a 4.0 rating. The food is delicious and the menu differs from everything else around here which is all so boring and standard.

JJ’s is the only place at the bay and surrounding beaches with a modern menu and a beautiful marina setting with water views. It isn’t the cheapest but a schnitzel costs nearly $30 at the soldiers club so comparatively this place is 1000 times better than ANYTHING else around.

We had a great experience here (with kids too 😬) and left totally satisfied.

Had the big breakfast… very tasty, well presented, everything fresh and delicious 😁. Fantastic location to dine overlooking the Bay. The Staff are friendly and efficient. Background music is pleasing, not too loud and settings the atmosphere just right for a relaxing breakfast. Keep it up guys, your settings the standard others in the Bay can only dream of. Well done 👍

Absolutely love this place! Came here in 2018 with my then girlfriend and we had a lovely meal. Came back in 2024 with my now wife and little daughter (plus in-laws) and it was even better than we remembered. The food was brilliant with delicious seafood served in a unique style. My father in law who is very fussy thought it was great and even said the martinis were as good as he has had. Most importantly the service was impeccable and the whole team made us feel so welcome. Can’t wait to come back again for round 3!

One of the best restaurants in the area. The venue is large with a bar, plenty of indoor seats and some outdoor tables with beautiful river/ocean view. The food was amazing. Staff are very professional and nice. Breakfast/lunch doesn't require booking but make sure you book for dinner, especial the outdoor area. Highly recommend!

We had a terrific dinner here. The restaurant is in a wonderful location right on the water. We had lovely service from a couple of very polite and helpful young people. They have a good menu here with ample options. The wine list is fine too with all bases covered.

We started with the natural oysters and the Kirkpatrick. Both were delicious
We then had the mussels with blue cheese, and the mussels with coriander, chilli and coconut. Both were excellent again. The mussels were plump and plentiful and the broths delicious. The dishes were zinging with flavour, exactly what we were after.

We were absolutely delighted with the meal. We’d happily return anytime.

This is the best seafood restaurant I’ve eaten in town! The owner of the hotel also recommended us this restaurant.
The oyster is not big but fresh and sweet! It just melted in my mouth! A little bit lemon is enough, no need to add other sauce to add extra flavor! No.1 recommendation ✨
The mussels were brilliant! The white wine and cream made the mussels tender and flavorful but not heavy at all! With the roasted sourdough slice dip into the sauce it was heaven! Highly recommended!✨
The royal red prawns 🍤 is without shell which is a little bit blend compared with the mussels, just so so.
Coffee is average, the experiences is really good the views is awesome!

Great Atmosphere, Awesome food! Love the fresh seafood on offer! We always share multiple dishes so we can enjoy all the different flavours!

We turned up at Xmas eve without booking. Ended up sitting in their courtyard. Surprisingly it's better atmosphere than indoor. Live music, freshly cook paella with fresh seafood, a pina colada, great view of the bay is all you needed. Great little spot. There was nothing that was disappointed us. Fish of the day was great, very fresh. Hit the spot.

Managed to get in without a booking which seems essential at this time of year. Food was absolutely amazing, we had the fishermans basket and the special baked yellow tail! All the staff were incredible and the cocktails were to die for!

Beautiful indoor + great food + friendly staff.
The bowl or prawns was absolutely delicious, you could feel the seafood was indeed very fresh. Mains are lovely, make sure to check their specials on the boards. If you plan to go in the evening and the weather is chilly, make sure to wear a bit warmer clothes as they might keep the terrace door open but they also have blankets. In general, highly recommended, also for a great walk after dinner.

I was there with family for dinner on the weekend and it was fabulous. The staff and the food were amazing, and they were very accommodating with the birthday cake we brought with us. I had the best cocktail ever, the Violet Crumble, yum yum! We all loved dinner and were so happy we chose this restaurant to celebrate a 40th birthday. Thanks!!!

So YUM! This is my second time here, first time was pre-covid on our last holiday to the area and we wanted to come back as we really enjoyed the first time and they didn’t disappoint. The mussels with the chilli, coriander and coconut milk was absolutely delicious, and huge! We had a party of 8 and everyone really enjoyed their meals. Customer service was spot on. Everyone was super lovely and down to earth. We sat on the deck however, I mentioned in our booking that if it was cold, could we sit inside, and they gave us the option when we arrived. We chose outside as it was quieter and the weather was cool but actually so lovely. And the views were lovely to take in over a nice dinner. Would 100% recommend and will be back if in the area again.

If you have a beautiful waterway and marina as your 'back drop' you might as well show it off. The restaurant's glass walls indeed does that and does it especially well at sunset. Look the seafood, fresh or cooked was delicious and particularly so when washed down with some nice beverages from the reasonably extensive drinks menu. The service was friendly and atmosphere casual. Provided you have good company, you are guaranteed to have a fantastic night out here.
