One Mile Beach, Port Stephens

One Mile Beach in Port Stephens is a beautiful, serene spot with basic amenities.

We took 30 travellers on a surf trip and had a fantastic time. The waves were perfect for all skill levels, and everyone enjoyed surfing. We also explored local hikes, which offered stunning views and a taste of the area's natural beauty.

The beach is clean and uncrowded, with essential facilities like restrooms, picnic areas, and parking. It's an ideal place for surfing, hiking, and enjoying nature.

Overall, One Mile Beach is a must-visit for surf enthusiasts and nature lovers alike.

It is a beautiful beach to witness the tidal action during sunset. Don't miss out on the natural lagoon formation at the other side towards the boat Harbour.. such a beautiful place

Spectacular beach, easy access great swell for surfing for both beginner and expert

Lovely sandy beach, which as the name suggests is not massive but long enough to stretch your legs and get your heart rate going. Ample parking, kiosk, lifesaver station on the beach. Perfectly framed beach with rocks to the right, dunes to the left and a small peninsula ahead to the left.

So calm and peaceful, easy to access. One mile of serenity.

The beach was clean and good for people who like to surf. We went over Easter so it was a bit packed. Good for the kids to play.

The cleanest and clearest water ever, with an average water temperature of 24.5°c. lifesavers patrol the area.
The best views and wildlife.

Beautiful well worth a visit. Perfect for beginner board riders and just enough space for everyone.

Beautiful clean beaches, plenty of wide open spaces to set up your stuff. A bit crowded during peak times near the flags but at least you’ve got lifeguards there!

They also have some nearby big sand dunes about 10min walk east that are nice to sandboard down on your boogie boards at sunset!

A great beach to visit and spend a day for relaxing, swimming, sand plays and surfing. The sand is fine, the lifeguards are on duty and the water is so clean. Easy to park your car and a short walk to the beach from the carpark.

Great beach, small rideable waves.

Great beach for the family as it is a patrolled beach with toilet & shower facilities. They are putting in a coastal walk to the right of the SLSC with some beautiful views of One Mile and the surfers.

This was a great clean beach with good waves on the day we visited(and windy too). It would be good to pack some snacks if you are planning to spend little more than couple hours.

A BIG THANK YOU TO ALL LIFE GUARDS AND SURFERS AND OTHER LOCALS WHO HAVE SAVED OUR BELOVED ONES IN THE RIP TIDE YESTERDAY AT THE ONE MILE BEACH. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. Without the help of you guys, our loved ones wouldn't have survived the rip. I hope for all the best in your future and may God bless you all. One mile beach is such a beautiful place to be, it takes away all your problems. But, just one advice be careful and be more cautious before your enter the water. Once again thank you to all that helped us.
