Dorchester On The Beach

Fantastic place to stay. Dean was really friendly and so welcoming. Large apartments. We had 3 couples and there was piles of space for everyone. Comfy beds. Amazing views. Perfect place to watch the fireworks. Counting down until we can return.

Great location, beach is at the back exit from the building. Rooms were spacious, with queen beds, clean. Great view from the balcony (every singleapartmenthas the view)! Enough dishes, pots and cutlery in the kitchen. Small heated outdoor pool. Parking spot in basement garage.
The only hick ups were small things like aircon not working (it wasn't too hot when we stayed, so it didn't bother us, so we didn't follow up on our request to fix it), handle missing on the black out blind in one bedroom, fans not working in two bedrooms (which were fixed upon request).

If you're after a quintessential Gold Coast beach holiday with the convenience of being close to everything you could need in terms of attractions, dining and shopping, but not too close to the hustle and bustle of Cavill Avenue or Broadbeach's central area, then Dorchester on the Beach is perfect.
It's also perfect in terms the never ending view of the beach and surf, you can walk a few metres to the beach, the apartments are fantastic and very roomy, and the hosts are super friendly and helpful. I love this place...it was my second time there and I fell in love with it all over again!

We stayed in apartment 13 and had the most incredible stay.

Firstly the service from Karen and Michael was truly exceptional. I arrived in a powered wheelchair I had rented and wasn't very good at steering and Michael assisted me down the driveway and helped me manoeuvre the wheelchair into and out of the lift and into the apartment. At every opportunity Karen and Michael made things easy for me including coming up to the apartment to get me to register my check-in instead of me going to reception and personally accompanying the delivery person from Coles with our grocery order up to the apartment. I cannot fault the service. I was made to feel welcome and comfortable at all times.

The views when we walked in took our breath away. Looking at and hearing the waves was truly soul soothing. We had several visitors during our stay and they were all blown away by the views and the quality of the accommodation.

The apartment was renovated and furnished beautifully. I was so impressed with the quality and comfort of the lounges. It was nice to be in a holiday apartment that didn't just buy the cheapest furniture available. The mattress in the main bedroom is very firm so if you like a softer mattress you may like to choose the 2nd bedroom like I did. I have chronic pain and was worried about sleeping on a bed other than my own, but I slept extremely well in the 2nd bedroom to my surprise.

We loved the fact this apartment had 3 bathrooms! Two ensuites and then the main bathroom/laundry. This apartment has everything.

The only very minor negatives for us was that there was no visitor parking and no rubbish shutes on each floor, rubbish had to be taken to the basement rubbish room, but they were minor inconveniences and would not prevent us from staying here again.

All in all, we had a fantastic time at Dorchester on the Beach and hope we can return here one day to enjoy the incredible views, comfortable and stylish accommodation and impeccable service.

Absolutely stunning location with breathtaking views up and down the coast line. The units are large, although slightly dated and 2 of the 3 beds were less than comfortable. But as far as location and ease of access to all of the local attractions, it cannot be beat. We had an amazing time staying here and would love to return in the future.

Karen and Michael are amazing hosts, very friendly, warm and welcoming. Karen ensured that everything was taken care of and went above and beyond to assist us. The apartment was wonderful, views spectacular and so local to everything. Easy access to the heart of surfers and Broadbeach. We spent 3 weeks in apartment 13 and absolutely loved our stay, our teenage kids had an amazing time as did myself and my husband. I highly recommend this property. Thank you Karen and Michael.

Terrific spot on the south side of surfers, walking distance to both surfers and broadbeach. Absolute beachfront apartments that is very secure and comfortable. Karen and Michael are on site during the day should you need anything. All Apartments are self contained and well equipped to service guests. Only real gripe was (if i had to find one) is the car park and spots are quite small but other than that its a great place to enjoy a family holiday

We loved our stay at The Dorchester. We stayed in room 28, level 14 and were very comfortable. Large modern unit with amazing views. Every morning we woke up with that beautiful Gold Coast sunrise. Amazing location, there was access straight on the beach from the pool area. I dealt with Karen who was lovely and excellent to deal with. All staff was excellent and professional. The only small issue was the wifi kept dropping out, but would definately recommend and will be going back. Thanks for the great stay, Fran:)

We stayed a week at Dorchester and the apartment was amazing. One of the best places I've had the pleasure to stay at. Beds were super comfortable, kitchen was large and spacious and had everything I needed. And the beach was RIGHT THERE. The heated pool was beautiful to swim in. it was a perfect holiday. Thank you!

The apartment was spotless, the view of the ocean (what we really wanted) was perfect.
We loved how quiet it was of an evening ( compared to being in the heart of Surfers) and the walk to eat and drink meant we didn't all leave way heavier than we arrived.

We had planned to stay for 2 nights but ended up staying an extra night. The location of these apartments is perfect - right on the beach and walking distance to everywhere! Management were so friendly and helpful and made us feel extremely welcome. I can honestly say that we have not felt so relaxed in a long time. The apartment was perfect. Such comfy beds and a great layout to the apartment. And the views!!!! WOW!!! Dorchester had everything that we could need. The rooms are spacious and our apartment had individual air conditioning in each room. From breakfast on the verandah, to walking on the beach and relaxing by the pool - our every desire was catered for. We are locals to the Gold Coast but decided to play 'tourist in our home town'. Staying at Dorchester on the Beach made me fall in love with the Gold Coast all over again.

Amazing location - the beach is literally your backyard, and while you can get a lot of people walking along the beach during the day it is actually a quiet part of the beach. The apartment we stayed in was beautifully decorated and clean. 3 bedrooms, a full kitchen, a washing machine and dryer - it is quitr literally a home away from home. Lots of windows to be able to enjoy the sun and fresh air, but nights can get quite chilly. Michael and Karen were fantastic and very helpful. This is perfect for a family holiday and would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was huge and views beautiful. Lovely location can walk right on to the beach. The heated pool was wonderful and my granddaughter would have spent all day there. Michael and Karen the managers were very friendly and helpful, would certainly return.

Generous, comfortable and classic luxury 3 bedroom apartment with 180 degree views along the beach and delicious sea air. Our family (with 11 and 14 year old) had the most relaxing winter weekend (staying 2 nights), spending hours in the apartment snuggling up reading our novels on the ample leather lounges and enjoying the sounds of the waves and the totally divine beach views. We did wander out and about a little, my daughter finding some gems at a local second hand shop and having a quick dip in the ocean. We enjoyed a healthy lunch at classy seaside cafe, Rhapsody Beachside one day (we caught the light rail a couple of stops) and tasty dishes at Sunsets Waterfront Grill (in Marina Mirage Resort complex) plus dinner one night at the delicious Serbian restaurant, Sandrino Kitchen and Bar in Broadbeach. Lulled to sleep in super comfortable beds, this was a weekend of seaside relaxation and rejuvenation. Thank you Karen and Michael for your hospitality.

We stayed at The Dorchester in Surfers Paradise over the Easter Break, we had the opportunity to take The Penthouse and its amazing !!!!!!, the apartment was very spacious and had 3 bathrooms !!!! this is awesome when you have 3 daughters. Karen and Michael Cross who take care of the apartment building are very friendly, welcoming, kind, inviting, both Karen and Michael do such an amazing job, we loved our apartment, we loved the pool, we love the location, we loved the price!!!!! we loved being right on the beachfront, we loved everything about staying at The Dorchester Apartments and we highly recommend anyone wanting to stay on the Gold Coast !! you should do yourselves a favour and stay at this amazing holiday apartments. This was my first visit to Surfers Paradise. Was searching for a hotel for my solo travel. Ocean views of the apartments helped me to make my decision quick. Booked 3 bedroom 4 star ocean view apartment.
When I arrive my check in was very easy and pleasant. Karen gave me lot's of necessary information about the area and the apartment. My apartment was exactly what I was expecting. Stunning view, spotless clean, spacious rooms, laundry and a fully equiped kitchen with amazing view.
Ocean view is breath-taking and walk to beach in no time. Outdoor swimming pool is heated so you enjoy the warm pool when there is wind outside. Easy beach walk to grocery store and restaurants in max 10mn.
If you are looking for safe and family oriented stay, Dorchester on the Beach is %100 what you searching for.
Karen and Michael is super friendly.They made my solo holiday so great and made me feel like I am at home. At the end, I didn't want to come back and I extended my stay for 1 extra day :)

I did have a chance to see most of the different apartments. They are all stunning and especially 4.5 stars are very luxuries. I will advise this apartments everyone now and in the future and I am looking forward to come back for another retreat in this heavenly place.
