Jones Street Take Away

My husband actually said "best snapper he's had in a LOOOOONNNG time". It absolutely was. The batter was light and crispy and the fish was BEAUTIFUL.
The kids had battered savs and I can't believe they didn't peel the batter off. They enjoyed it and wanted more. My sister loved her hamburger with the lot and was left very satisfied.

We were so happy to find this joint opened on new years day, and even happier now we have a new fave spot to hit whenever we are in town.
The family owned/run business is an absolute delight. Such genuine & friendly folks.

The owners really care about the product that they are selling, I had a lovely and fresh Chicken Schnitzel burger along with some Sea Scallops and Potato Cakes.

The oil was fresh and it was all prepared very quickly.

Me and my brother stopped in this nice place to grab a bite on Road. We were welcomed by the incredibly kind owner who let us use the bathroom in the back. The food we ordered, hamburger and steak roll both with the lot, were incredibly good and tasty!! Highly recommended! Nice atmosphere and great food!

Wow I’m so glad others had left reviews so when I was passing through overnight I could find a nice place to eat.

The owner was very kind and caring. Food was fresh, value for money and delicious, no wonder the phone was ringing hot when I was waiting for my order.

Thanks for the hamburgers (both plain and the lot were delicious, buns super tasty and real!) and our fresh battered hot potato cakes/scallops and chips. Just what we needed after a long day on the road.

Ps heaps of menu items, and a clean joint which has tables if you’d like to dine in.

We will definitely be back when passing through Albury again.

Bought 2 fish and chip packs, 2 potato cakes and gravy. Best I have had in a long time. Ratio of batter to fish is perfect, same on potato cakes. Thin batter, there is more fish than batter and I loved the crunchiness of it. Chips were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Good sized portion so I was happy to pay $15 per meal. My only issue was how long it took to arrive, but that has nothing to do with Jones Street Takeaway. Definitely will go back and try other menu items

I have lived here for 3 years and have been looking for a good fish and chip shop that was consistent throughout the entire menu. I have finally found one. Your chips, potato cakes, dim sims and fish are amazing.
Staff are also top notch.

Came to albury and my suggested to have takeaway hot chips. The service was outstanding especially coming from another town. Never felt so relaxed and appreciated. Thanks Darren and Art for your services and lovely manners 😀 😊

We have been trying for some time to get some fish and chips in Albury. Called into Jones street tonight and could not believe how nice the food was. From the gentleman who took our order to receiving our order the whole experience was a pleasure. So glad we have found our new place to go well done to you and your staff

Always a wonderful experience at Jones Street Takeaway. Warmly greeted, clean and bright with a place to sit down while you wait for your order and happy to have a friendly chat. The team take so much pride in the food they serve, always clean tasting batter, delicious battered flake, crispy chips, yummy potato cakes and fried dim sims in well priced packs. Enjoyed a delicious chicken schnitzel burger today! Generous selection of cold drinks also available. It's our favourite fish and chips in Albury! 100% recommended!! Friendly service, very fresh food, old style hamburgers and crispy chips. They were busy tonight (Sunday) but explained delays and still made great food. Clean shop with a few extra supplies if needed. Go for it, if you’re hungry, this is the place!

Good fresh food chips always done in clean oil likewise the fish etc not like many places around this area who chips come out to dark because oil is not changed enough the menu had a great selection

Great, clean and friendly shop. new owners obviously working hard to make sure they deliver good food and at a reasonable price. Barra was great, all in a nice clean and tasty batter. steamed Dim Sims, yummy.
