Great break of journey with awesome museum and town facilities

This was a great stop over on our way through. The people were amazingly friendly and helpful. They even let us take a photo of my 1 year old on some of the items. A fun train simulator too. Can't say how refreshing it is to experience such lovely people who enjoy what they do.

Take children to the Park & had a picnic lunch. Great, safe park for children to play in. Shame that some person has removed the gates.

What a trip down memory lane... So much memorabilia and so many stories. So glad we made the stop. The memorial to those workers killed on the job, is an amazing piece of architecture.

Werris Creek Railway Station is a nice, vintage railway station which is still used by passenger services, track splits off as a Y, one way goes to Moree, the other to Armidale. There is also a railway museum on this station, very nice to have a walk through. Lovely town.

I turned up to the museum around 3.30 Friday afternoon and the place was deserted. Unimpressed.
