The Crocodile Hunter Lodge

Absolutely beautiful. We booked for 7 guests for one night and had a beautiful, comfortable room with more than enough space for us all. The brownies and coffee were delicious. The restaurant food was amazing. We were delighted at the value of the stay given our circumstances. 2 day passes to the zoo would have cost us $500, with shuttles to and from as many times as we needed plus we received breakfast for all 7 of us.. so when you deduct that from the fee we paid for the room, the value was fantastic in our opinion. It is definitely worth the experience.

Very enjoyable and exceeded expectations from lodging to food to service. The location itself was absolutely beautiful — a great deal of care was put into the landscape design using Aussie natives. The cabins were very large, very well designed and private. Food quality at breakfast and dinner was fabulous too. Little extras like brownies in your cabin on arrival and lovely Hunter amenities and Dyson dryer in the bathrooms are nice additions. Great place for a relaxing visit that has something for all ages to enjoy. Plus, admission to the fabulous Australia Zoo, which is always interesting, fun and never gets old. Highly recommend!

AMAZING!!! Absolutely blown away by this place. Booked to stay for my husbands 30th birthday and it was worth every cent. The cabin was stunning, exceptionally clean and every last detail had been thought about. All the staff were so friendly and the shuttle bus system to the zoo is perfect. Our one suggestion for improvement would be that the warrior restaurant needed more staff during the breakfast shift as the wait for our food was very long and also our drinks never arrived. It was lovely to watch the kangaroos and emus eating their breakfast at the same time though

Absolutely beautiful hotel. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. The cabins are beautiful with plenty attention to detail and little extras to make your stay great. The resort as a whole is very quiet and serene and the restaurant was wonderful. Quick and easy transportation to the zoo. Would absolutely stay here again for a longer stay.

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was fantastic. Kangaroos right outside your cabin as well as around the infinity pool. Being able to do laundry for free at their main building was very helpful too. The food was good and the overall pricing was better than I expected. The shuttle to the zoo was fast and simple and you definitely need 2 full zoo days. I did 3 just to be on the safe side.

We had a wonderful time staying in a 2 br cabin with our toddler grandson. The place was just perfect, so clean, so fresh and it met all our needs. The extra touch of coffee and a slice left for us to enjoy was just lovely! Cocktails at the pool were very reasonably priced, and the pool and surrounds were more than impressive! Dinner was a truly memorable experience at Warrior Restaurant- the staff were so lovely and extremely accommodating and the food was honestly exceptional!

We were extremely impressed with the facilities at the Lodge, the Zoo and all of the staff we can in contact with. And, our visitors from Melbourne were equally impressed. We would like the thank everyone for this great experience.

Perfect. Romantic. Relaxing. We couldn’t fault any of it. The cabins were so clean and modern and quiet. The food was so delicious and the staff were so friendly. They were so helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend to other people.

This was such a beautiful place to stay! The cabins are immaculate, and every staff member we encountered was very nice and helpful. We were even lucky enough that a family of wild kangaroos decided to hang out in the back of our cabin! It was truly a wonderful experience!

Absolutely loved the whole experience staying at this lodge, wished I could stay longer. The price may seem a little pricey at first but with the free great breakfast, heated 25m pool, access to the zoo, gift bag, animals roaming around.. and not to mention the high quality of everything inside the lodge, it’s worth every penny of it! Oh and the service was top notch too!

Absolutely fantastic experience and worth every dollar. We celebrated my daughter’s third birthday this weekend at the lodge. The staff couldn’t be more helpful, friendly and accomodating. Big thanks to Kim at reception, Larissa in the restaurant and the lodge shuttle bus driver who made our daughter’s birthday one to remember.

My wife and I spent 3 nights at The Crocodile Hunter Lodge, and honestly, if I could rate it higher than 5 stars, I would. The friendly and amazing staff at Reception were more than happy to help with any questions that my wife and I had. The food at the Warrior Restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced.

We stayed in Red Kangaroo Cabin 10, and the Cabin was amazing! The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the feel of the room was warm and welcoming. It was a much needed breath of fresh air and for what is included in the price, well worth it.

We are definitely looking at returning to the Lodge in the future, even just to stay for a single night, and HIGHLY recommended staying to anyone who is considering it.

10000% worth it! At first glance I thought it was a bit pricey but it’s truly worth every penny! The cabin was absolutely spotless, as if it had never even been stayed in! The decor was stunning and the bathroom was beautiful! Every inch of it was luxurious. The free breakfast was amazing! The food is so yummy and the coffee was great. The cabin, food, entry to the zoo and the free gift bag included made it 100% worth it to me and my friend that I stayed with! I couldn’t think of a single complaint. Also the pool with the kangaroos and koalas in the surrounding area was just spectacular.

I would recommend to anyone! It’s worth the investment. I hope to bring my friends back for my birthday this year!

Service was outstanding. View is spectacular and the food in line with prices was exactly what you would expect! Taste of each dish was excellent with the quality of flavour making you want to go back for another one (if you weren’t already full). Coffee grounds are re used in the zoo and the view of wildlife in their natural habitat was an awesome experience.

My family stayed for three nights and we could not fault anything. The staff were amazing, rooms were stunning, food was delicious and the pool was just divine. Our family’s stay was made so comfortable and everything was so luxurious. Special mention to Claire for helping our kids dreams come true. Everyone went above and beyond for us and it was truely amazing. We will definitely be back 💕

Absolutely Fantastic!!!! Wow what an experience, my first time coming here and it won’t be my last. We stayed in these gorgeous eco cabins, secluded in the bushlands and surrounded by wildlife. Really loved the infinity pool and being able to see the kangaroos and emus roaming around. The staff have been amazing, very friendly and helpful. Will hopefully be back soon.

Absolutely incredible experience here! The cabins are spotless and the welcome gift was so lovely. All the staff in the lodge and in the restaurant are so attentive and nice. Would recommend anyone to stay here and I hope I can stay again soon
