We just had takeaway coffee but it was sensational coffee, probably the best I have ever had and the staff were lovely.

August 2023 - Have stopped visiting this once favourite coffee shop. No more teapots, no more crockery. Paper cups 👎 paper plates 👎 paper bags👎 So upsetting the whole ambience has changed. Bring back proper cups, saucers, plates and teapots. We miss visiting you.

Finally!! Coffee that isn't bitter!! Yay!!
As a bonus too the customer service is above and beyond anything we've recently come across. It's like we'd stepped back in time. Food is always fresh and beautifully presented. It was a unique feeling placing an order and receiving what we actually ordered .. and all done with smile! I especially love sitting in the sun with a pot of strong white English Breakfast tea .. and not tea bags either .. loose tea ♡ If you want a lovely little interlude in your day this is the place to go. Thank you to the lady who makes us so welcome and makes a great cuppa .. see you real soon ♡

Great little bakery to get a coffee and a pie

Excellent customer service. Was strolling through the area around volt lane and in the mood for a cuppa. He staff at the place were closing up. One of the lovely ladies saw me walking and asked if I would be wanting a coffee. I told yes and, she with a smile went into the shop and proceeded to make a coffee. Cappuccino with two sugars as requested. Best part, was that I didn't know that they gave a donut for every coffee purchase.... and as they were out of donuts, she offered to give a piece of cake. I requested for a hedgehog slice, which she gave with a smile. Made my evening. Now, that's amazing customer service!!!

Great friendly service, most of the staff remember my order which is a nice touch and my hot chocolate is always perfect ....

Ordered lunch online yesterday but when I went to collect it they were out of croissants. To their credit they had tried to call me but my phone was on silent.
The staff are always friendly and on this occasion went above and beyond to fulfil my revised order.
Best bakery on the border, and still locally owned!

Food and coffee was great and the customer service was amazing and personable. Free donuts were given with the coffees too. Glad we decided to stop in at Hotbake for the morning!
