Meredith Hotel ( TOP PUB )

We had lunch on Sunday and it was amazing!! The porchetta special was so good and a huge serving size at a great price. Our waitress was training. She was very good, polite and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

Best pub I have ever been to. Before I even mention the food the fact that it has 3 fireplaces already had me sold. We had the Farmers Wife parmi and the crumbed sausages with 2 kids meals. Very good value for money, great portions and absolutely delicious. The service was great, the wait staff let us know in advance because they were busy it would take a while so I took the youngest for a walk but before we even got down the end of the road our meals were ready. Will definitely be going back!

Heard so many good reviews about this country pub so had to give it a go .Absolutely loved all our dishes .Meals were a great size ,well presented and so very tasty.Also very well priced .Attentive staff and lovely open fireplaces .We will be back for sure

The Top Pub boasts quality pub classics alongside dishes you would expect at a high class restaurant. it has a menu that is sure to please all who come through. My party had the Wagon Wheel parmi, the calamari, and the slow cooked lamb. which were all delicious and decently sized. the sticky date pudding was the standout dish. The service was as great as the food, and is a real asset to the town of Meredith. Keep serving great food guys👏

Simple review: it is very obvious when you are getting proper, fresh meals with quality ingredients and prepared by a pro. It makes a MASSIVE difference and puts you far above many other comparable pubs. Even something as basic as a garlic bread starter that was so fresh and perfect - as compared to a dry, half stale break-your-teeth offerings from elsewhere - we knew the meals were going to be the same.

Stopped in for dinner whilst exploring the goldfields region. My son had the porterhouse steak and I had the pork belly. Both were superb. The service was warm and friendly and the atmosphere was welcoming.

Came here thanks to KERRIE O’NEILL’s review and I was not let down. Had gluten free pasta dish then sat at the bar talking with the staff and young owner. Woman from the kitchen was just a lovely person. Had a brilliant night. Very safe environment for solo traveller.

It was delicious and big enough to feed the whole family. The staff were all smiles and very friendly. I will be back to try this again. Highly recommend it was worth the drive from geelong.

We Dined at the Meredith Hotel (Top Pub) for lunch today. A very wide variety of food on the menu. We ordered a HSP Parma and the Snapper. The Parma was huge and very, very tasty. The Snapper looked like it came from a very high end restaurant and was delicious. Staff were very friendly. 3 x open fireplaces going throughout the hotel which made it very cosy. Will be definitely going back again and telling family and friends of this gem! Thanks

We were a party of 12, celebrating a birthday. Staff were incredibly welcoming, attentive and helpful. Bringing our own birthday cake was not a problem - it was whisked away on our arrival, then produced later with candles lit and plates, cutlery and napkins provided. The meals were superb, with a great selection available. We will definitely return.

The food is exceptional, fresh vegetables are a bonus. Great service and a casual country atmosphere. Well worth a visit.

Every so often you stumble across an absolute hidden Gem.
This is the Meredith Hotel. NOT the hotel on the Highway, but turn left at that hotel into Staughton St, Cant fault the cold beer, a Menu that would be at home in a Fine Dining venue and the friendly, personal service of the Family who own and run it.

Food was delicious. Steak perfectly cooked for me. Medium rare steak sagna. Only quam was i would have loved some sauce with my meal. A nice peper sauce or something.

Amazing food, staff are so accommodating best pub in the Golden Plain Shire recommended everyone to go in and enjoy your good old country pub vibe.

Dinner was awesome, steak sandwich was delicious the steak in it was the most tender piece of steak I’ve had in a long time.
The buffalo chicken burger was perfect, the spice was spot on.

Highly recommend this pub,

Place rocked. Haven’t had crumbed lamb cutlets in ages and they were crumbed to order (you could tell cos they had that crunch) and cooked well so were moist. Great fat content as well. Served with light fluffy mashed potatoes. Steak was fire too and featured a creamy pepper gravy with real green peppercorns. Shoutout to the cool rescue bird. Their house lager goes down a treat too.

Good food, good service. Worth a visit. Just book to avoid disappointment, as it's very popular. Staff are amazing. Do yourself a favour and call in and sample their Awesome food.
