What a day.
If you want to have a drink, this class is for you. However if you would prefer to walk away with an experience, more knowledge than you thought you’d have about Gin and an inspiration to explore flavours and learn more, this class will do you a world of good.
Basil went above and beyond for our small group, one we will cherish and continue to explore from home with different flavours from our personally made gins.

Basil from the moment I reached out to the second I shook his hand leaving I was entertained, educated and enthralled.
Every drink has a story and clearly carefully considered and the flavours are bombastic and fantastic.

My partner and I visited the distillery with our pup who was welcomed with open arms. We tried the Charlie Chaplin cocktail and the Crocus Flower, both were amazing and so tasty. Could have definitely had a few! Dave was a great host and my partner said the Charlie Chaplin he made was the best cocktail he'd ever had. Would definitely recommend a visit!

After checking out this venue for the first time today, I can safely say it lives up to its 5 star reviews.

My partner and I ordered the Crocus Flower and Charlie Chaplin cocktails, which were without a doubt the best cocktails I've had. Especially the Charlie Chaplin.

Our host, Dave, was very welcoming and friendly. This, along with the cosy atmosphere, makes this the perfect spot to wind down.

10/10 would recommend and will be returning in the future.

Best Gin tasting experience I've had!
Tried all the Gins each an experience! The whole process from beginning to end was an information about the Gins, how you can mix them and the way the tasting was presented was also the best we have experienced. Basil is clearly passionate about what he does. It shows and he gets you excited by the experience your about to have. He also let our son who was under age have a non acholic special drink too!
The Sloe was our favourite and the Japanese Gin.
Have to try the Charlie Chaplain!

Had the most warm and wonderful experience with Basil & the team at Hepburn Distillery. Was fortunate enough to take home a bottle of their limited batch Sloe Gin - truly the greatest gin I’ve ever had. Can’t wait to come back and do a workshop with Basil in future!

it was a horrible rainy day when we rocked up to this hidden gem but we are so glad we decided to give it a shot. we walked in and were instantly blown away. the staff are so passionate about their products and super friendly! loved the layout of the tasting and the dogs were adorable. we also loved how all the alcohol was made in house which made it really unique. definitely recommend to everyone :)

The Gin Masterclass was exceptional. All of our expectations were well exceeded. Basil was a magnificent host for the day and had even had a Gin rookie like myself enthralled in the amazing process they use to create such wonderful products. Absolute must for any and all who have even the slightest interest. We will certainly return.

If I could give this distillery more than 5 stars, I would. Great little venue, beautiful tasting gins and the service provided by Basil absolutely made the experience. Would highly recommend.

Hepburn Distillery ferment and distil their own base spirits from scratch, in small batches from seasonal ingredients. Their Organic Potato Vodka was the Gold Medal winner in the World Vodka Awards 2021. 🥇

With the Daylesford Distillery now open, owner Basil is excited to be able to share his passion and knowledge of his products with you through a tour and guided tasting. Super entertaining and welcoming, we even had to the chance to meet his two Swiss Shepherd dogs. 🍸

Their products are so smooth and full flavoured so best served with tonic, soda or as a base for a cocktail. A tasting of 3 gins or vodkas of your choice runs at $10, not redeemable on product. We loved it so much we took home a bottle of the Saffron Organic Vodka and Chocolate Gin. I also was lucky enough to score a bottle of their hard to get Bullarto Strawberry Gin from a local supermarket! 🍓

Hepburn Distillery have a commitment to being sustainable in every possible way. To offset the carbon footprint of travel and postage they have partnered with Fifteen Trees and plant a tree for every litre they sell. 🌳

You make some outstanding Vodka and Gin, definitely up there with the best of them and we really enjoyed them all.

Great little distillery! High quality products with great taste. We did a tour and it was short and sweet. Loved trying all the different types after! Highly recommend the tour & an extra dirty Martini! 🍸🫒

Absolutely lovely experience at Hepburn Distillery! The staff were so welcoming and we loved trying the gins and vodka, My partner got an old fashioned, not knowing the liquor was the oak cask vodka and was absolutely speechless! He loved the vodka and thought it tasted like an amazing whiskey! Had a good laugh with the staff about this and ended up ordering some online!

The potato vodka bought my dad back to his younger days of drinking deliciously smooth, organic alcohol made by farmers in his hometown - a taste he says he hasn’t been able to find ever since migrating here. An extremely high and well deserved compliment.

Great vibe, beautiful gin and vodka and best whiskey around. Basil is very friendly and knowledgeable, he will have take you on a journey of your preferred drinks. 100% will come back.

What an amazing experience a visit to Hepburn Distillery is. The passion for their product is evident from the moment you walk in the door and it shows in their wonderful gins, vodkas and now whisky too! As locals we love bringing our friends here to taste the best our region has to offer in such a welcoming fun environment, from tasting paddles to cocktails and even a good little selection of local non alcoholic drinks. And of course a bottle always seems to make its way home too! The Smithers Gin is a favourite in our house
