Wingello is the perfect place in the Southern Highlands to have an awesome adventure. From Mountain bike riding on the trails built and maintained by the crew at Highlands Trails to the climbing walls, the Morton National Park and the horse riding.

Great for mountain bike riders and bush walkers. The village has a great general store thats family owned and operated with great cafe foods at agreat prices plus they sell fuel and it is very competatively priced.

Great trails for beginners, intermediate and advanced, peaceful place will camp there in 2018

Could be more level on the camp floor
Most of the pines have been destroyed by fire and bulldozed so native vegetation is making its way back .
Roads are fair but some still blocked off from damage

Having tried Penrose State Forest (all fire trails locked) and read that Benglo State Forest was also largely shut, we tried Wingello. There were still a few closed tracks but the majority was open and a few great little camping spots, went on the public hol weekend and was worried would be very busy but where we found a spot was like we were the only ones there. Great forest for a camping trip with dogs. Shame it’s so difficult to find up to date information on the state forests online. There are definitely large areas still recovering from fires and lots being felled, but enough spots you can get into and feel like you’re really in the forest.
