Wattle Cafe

I've been to this cafe a few times now. From the moment you step through the doors of this cafe you feel instantly relaxed and welcomed. The staff is so very caring, friendly, and genuinely nice. The coffee that I ordered arrived within moments. The food is fresh and tasty. I had ordered a bacon and egg roll. What was served up in front of me was a meaty and juicy roll the size of a dinner plate.
In an additional note, every so often you will hear peals of laughter coming from the kitchen. Maybe that's why the food tastes so good; the staff is also well looked after.
I love this place.

We come here all the time. Since the new management took over the Wattle Cafè has massively improved. Great food. Great service. A top place for breakfast or lunch.

Had a great lunch. Eggs Benedict yum. Hollandaise sauce was beautiful and light.

On our way to Bathurst last week, we stopped I'm at this Cafe for a lunch. The staff were very accommodating as there was 20 of us, mostly kids. We may have disrupted abit of the peace. The food came in timely and was very tasty. Even though there was a slight mix up in the order the manager made it up to us. Highly recommend this easily accessible en route cafe to anyone in the area. Great service and good quality food!!

Called in for a quick lunch on a drive back to Sydney - ordered a BLT and a steak sandwich. Top marks for the food!! Served on the most delicious Turkish bread I’ve ever tasted. Such a lovely surprise. Totally delicious!

Bought the tropical chicken and chilli chicken burgers with chips! Was delicious and the burgers were so filling. My partner couldn’t get enough of the fresh roll we would definitely would recommend! Thank you

The staff are so lovely & it's a very happy kitchen (which we feel makes the food that much better). The staff are consistently friendly, welcoming & genuine.

The ingredients are obviously high quality, the food is delicious (the eggs benedict, rosti stack & von hash are all delicious). The coffee is also fantastic.

The chips! I'm assuming handcut, big and crunchy, unlike most cafes these days.
The tropical chicken burger and meatball roll were exactly how you would want them to taste. Chips and a burger for $15, very good price.

Friendly, fast and attentive service. We arrived 1 hour before closing time on a Sunday afternoon and the staff were so accommodating and lovely. Our late arrival was no issue. Delicious home style food. Highly recommend if you’re in the area!

The wattle is a little oasis in the desert of the lockdown. Al has diversified and makes a large assortment of meals for takeaway, at very reasonable prices. And their great.
All while keeping the coffee and the lunch etc menu going. Always was the best in blackheath. Now it's even better.

It was the log fire that won me over. Coffee and muffin beside fire place on a cold day after drive up from Sydney. Good friendly service. Fast service. Family friendly. Good street parking. Proximate to train. Young vibrant crowd.

Stopped for a quick takeaway while traveling and I'm glad I did ! Although the staff were being slammed with customers on a Tuesday lunchtime, they were handling it very well. My toasted Mediterranean sandwich on wholegrain sourdough was beautiful. I'll certainly call again.

A great place to come for a feed. The food is great and also very reasonably priced. The staff are friendly and they bring a lively atmosphere to this trendy cafe. Highly recommended if you are dropping past.

Great meals just what is needed after enjoying the walks around the area.

Our party of 3 enjoyed lunch here on Monday 2 September 2019. We paid $36 for: pie of the day (chicken pesto) with chips + salad; 'dayspring roll' (essentially a veggie burger with a rosti, not a pattie); and a salad sandwich with avocado.
The prices and portions were very good, and everything was fresh and delicious. We didn't have coffee yesterday, but have had coffee at the Wattle Cafe during previous visits, and it's always been very nice.

Great family friendly café.
We stayed in Mt Victoria for the wknd and went to the Wattle café for breakky on Saturday morning.
We choose that that café over the other ones because it was spacious and the sign at the door said "baby change room". Having a 1yr old with us, that was a winner. Baby chairs were available and the big family size tables are always welcoming.
The fire was out when we arrived but the staff put it back on as soon as we asked and it was roaring in no time which made the place very comfy.
The staff was very friendly and efficient, the ceiling of the café has a beautiful artwork.
My wife had the vegetarian breakky and soy cap and I had the farmyard breakky with one of their juice. Both the coffee and juice were very nice.
The food was nothing fancy but very good with fresh ingredients, well prepared, arrived in a very reasonable time and last but not least very generous servings. The meals were very good value.
The place was almost empty when we arrived but filled up really quickly during our stay which is always a good sign :)
We would definitely recommend the place and go back ourselves on another trip to the mountains.

We stopped here morning coffee and tempted by the friendly table service and all day breakfast menu. So glad 'cause I just had my best breakfast ever, the Rosti Stack (vegs, avo topped with poached egg) and partner had bacon and egg roll (I love when you don't need to ask for greens) all for very reasonable prices.
Also picked up a couple of second hand books for $4.00 each.

I get my daily soy flat white from Alex at Wattle. It is always great coffee and he uses top quality ingredients. A pity that in these times it has to be take away.
