Osteria 2785

We had a voucher for Cinnabar Kitchen which is / was our favourite restaurant in the Mountains. When we learnt it was no more, we were saddened but pleased that the visa was transferrable.

We went for dinner at Osteria 2785 last night to use the voucher, and were absolutely blown away!

The food is fresh, authentic regional style Italian at prices much more favourable that you would normally find in a modern Italian. We had 3 courses and every single dish was incredible!

I also like that every wine on the menu is served by the glass, which is nice as most restaurants offer some wine by the glass and you feel like you are missing out on some of the menu that only offer by the bottle.

The service was incredibly friendly, the staff are well selected as they clearly enjoy what they do and working with people. I also love the new deco and the intimate atmosphere.

We are very pleased to say that Osteria 2785 is our new favourite restaurant in the mountains and would recommend it to anyone no matter what your budget is, 5 Stars!!!

Went for the special Ocean’s Eleven Sunday Seafood event. The food was all delicious, well presented, and super fresh. Really great combinations of flavours, and we really loved the trout mousse, soft shell crab and the brandy strawberry merengue! Service was fast and friendly and the vibe was absolutely buzzing as the place was fully booked. Nice atmospheric lighting and Italian photos on the walls. Started as a date and was very romantic but we pushed tables together when friends came in so it was good for a group too.

So good! Warm atmosphere, delicious food, amazing desserts, rustic menu with fresh pasta and produce, and with modest prices - the flavours and the team really transported us into the Italian dimension!

We have been to Osteria 2785 twice. I have tried different meals on the menu and I haven’t been disappointed with the taste, presentation or the quantity. Great choice of local and imported wines and beer. Cocktails and soft drinks available. Prices are competitive with other local restaurants. Wait staff were friendly, happy, pleasant and polite. Meals and drinks were delivered in a timely manner. Comfortable seating and space for a small floor space. Parking available along the highway. Close to Blackheath Station. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Osteria 2785 italian restaurant after a brilliant dinner there this week. Food was amazing - like, knocked it out of the park amazing! Fresh made pastas and gnocchi that I could have just eaten on their own and been happy with, but my favourite was the seafood stew with the most delicious broth/sauce and super fresh seafood. A big thumbs up for the fresh baked focaccia and the tira-mess-u too(an eaton mess style tiramisu you’ve got to try to believe!). Owner Mel and her crew were so welcoming and attentive, with great wine recommendations too. Such good quality dishes at really good prices, I would have paid a lot more for the quality and serving sizes we got. They made sure we had one of the funnest, most relaxed nights we’ve had in ages.

Super gorgeous restaurant offering superb food, service and atmosphere! They even have private dinning rooms upstairs for group bookings and special occasions. All gourmet enthusiasts must visit this quaint eatery in the Upper Blue Mountains - five stars and worth a night out to enjoy the french inspired cuisine and surrounding atmosphere!

Our experience of Osteria 2785 was nothing short of sensational. I organised a party of 12 (which unfortunately became 9 on the night) for a birthday dinner and just don't have enough words of praise for Mel and her servers. The buffet meal was exquisite: a variety of tastes and textures of which nothing disappointed. The food kept arriving long after our expectations were exceeded and our tummies full. The coffee tirimisu was a vision as well as delicious. I know everyone went away commenting on what an amazing meal it was and our wish is for Osteria 2785 to attract the attention and praise it deserves. Blackheath has a fantastic new gem of an Italian restaurant.

Osteria 2785 has amazing food, service and decor. Punching way above it weight. General dining room downstairs and private rooms upstairs. Fine dining Italian food at its best. Well done Osteria 2785 in the heart of Blackheath.

Feels like a big warm hug!! The food was wintery, authentic Italian and perfect for a rainy night. Fantastic wine list of local and Italian wines. Such friendly and hospitable service. Recommend highly!

Fabulous service, warm and cosy atmosphere and the best Ossobuco we've ever tasted! We had a small misunderstanding using a voucher to settle our bill, but it was resolved smoothly by their amazing team in no time. We'll definitely be return customers!

Cosy, warm and welcoming, loved our meal and the service. Highly recommend the “melt in your mouth” Pork Saltimbucca and the Gnocchi Gorgonzola. Impressed by the wine list as well - a good representation of local wines and regional Italian wines. Just what Blackheath needed.

What a wonderful restaurant! Thorougly enjoyed the food, service and atmoshere. Definitely a "must dine there" restaurant when visiting the Blue Mountains.

Thought we would try out Osteria as it's a new restaurant in Blackheath! Absolutely shocked with how amazing the food was. Will most definitely be coming back!!

My husband and I set a new goal of returning to this restaurant until we have tried everything on the menu! Loved everything about this restaurant experience!

Great food and service

On a busy Saturday night the restaurant was full and was rather noisy. The staff gave us menus as soon as we sat down with the friends we were meeting and were back in no time to take our order. We barely had time to greet our friends let alone look at the menu. The menu is brief and had no vegetables served with the meals. We ordered carrots and polenta with our mains, there were no green vegetables except salad on the menu. The plates were quickly whisked away and the menus back to order dessert.
Everything we had was fine but it is not cheap. If I am paying that I do not want to go home with indigestion.

lovely little restaurant. delicious food.. but heads up… putanesca spaghetti… pips not removed from olives … dangerously close to broken tooth. need olive pipper! all else excellent
