Captains Creek Organic Wines

We finished off our little weekend getaway with a visit to Captains Creek Winery. What a lovely find it was tucked away in the quiet town of Blampied, just over an hour from the CBD. The sharing platter was mouth watering and such great value with local and regional organic produce. We were recommended the bubbles and Pinot Noir to complement the delicious food and took in the fresh air and beautiful views while we enjoyed lunch outside on the decking. The service and atmosphere was top notch and we really felt looked after by the friendly staff. Such a well run family business, we will definitely be back thanks guys 🫶

My wife loves her wine but is highly allergic to some of the nasty ingredients/preservatives in current winemaking processes, and so it was such a delight to find Captains Creek Organic Wines! After having tasted most of their wines, my wife didn’t experience any allergic reaction .. so we bought 2 dozen bottles and had them shipped back to Queensland. While we were there, our hosts (and owners) Doug and Carolyn kindly answered all our questions about the history of the property and surrounding area. We decided to stop for lunch and dined on the best vege platter we’ve ever tasted. Quite extraordinary! Hospitality was fantastic … on hearing we’d never tasted chestnuts, Doug roasted a few for us to taste. So kind! If you’re ever in the Blampied area, and even if you’re not, you must visit Captains Creek Organic Wines … it’s one of the highlights of my two weeks in Victoria. Thoroughly recommended.

We have just enjoyed what can only be described as an absolutely fabulous long weekend at Captains Creek Organic Wines! We stayed on the property in the beautifully renovated Bundaleer Farmhouse which was full of charming character and everything you could possibly need for a weekend of complete comfort and total relaxation. We enjoyed a delicious complimentary bottle of their lovely bubbles on our arrival and found the fridge filled with amazing local produce for our breakfasts. The Cellar Door was a short walk from our accommodation and we quickly settled in for a tasting and some sips of their incredible organic wine while enjoying the incredibly relaxing atmosphere and amazing views. Carolyn and Doug were the most delightful hosts and clearly love what they do. We left feeling totally recharged with a good supply of their delicious wine and some wonderful memories! Thank you so much for a truly delightful weekend! We will definitely be back! 🥰🍷🥂🥰

We stayed at one of the Eco Stays next door to the winery, and we spent a Saturday afternoon enjoying their delicious organic wines and ciders! Carolyn and Doug were warm, welcoming and generous. We had the cheese board and the charcuterie platter, both of which were delightful and made from locally sourced produce. They were even able to cater for gluten-and-dairy free! We definitely recommend Captains Creek winery to anyone travelling through the area, and we’d love to come back one day soon!

Lovely organic wines & ciders local produce & a bit of history- what more do you need? Excellent service we had a great time tasting all the wines & ciders, we will be back! Great selection of cheeses and platters if you wish to enjoy a snack along with your wine too.

What a wonderful place. The food was absolutely amazing ( compliments to the Chef ) . The staff are so friendly . Great little winery for a day trip . Go and check it out .

There are many family-owned vineyards tucked away on country roads that are worth a visit, and Captains Creek is one of them. We had the charcuterie lunch for two, with an extra cheese, and it was an unexpected treat.

The ingredients were locally sourced and Greg and Carolyn - the owners of this family farm - were well versed in the who, what, and where of each dish. They are also lovely people, there's none of the hard sell I've experienced at other wineries here, which is both appreciated and makes for a more mellow time.

I paired my lunch with the Pinot Noir and it went down very nicely, with my only frustration that as the designated driver, I couldn't indulge in more.

The owners are so nice & accommodating. We stayed at Monterey Eco Stay for part of our honeymoon & it is by far the most beautiful & comfortable tiny house we have stayed in. I can’t even put into words how breathtaking it is. I loved looking out the bedroom windows in bed at night time just looking at the scenery. We visited the owners at the winery & they looked after us amazingly. We were so spoilt. I can’t wait to get back here.

Our first organic winery ☺ Loved it. Great wine tasting and generous platters to enjoy 😊. Lovely cozy place for either a romantic experience or for a family with green outdoor area for kids to run around.

We had an absolutely delicious lunch here on a warm autumn day sitting outside on the balcony. The staff were attentive, the food was top class and the organic wine was delicious. I recommend starting with a glass of the sparkling. Will definitely be returning!

Arrived to this beautiful winery on Friday. However, we did not know that they where not open on the week days. But, on arrival, we were approached by the lovely owners who offered us in for a tasting! Amazing wines and a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. Would highly recommend. Thanks to the owners who really made the whole experience.

Delicious beverages and share plates consisting of beautiful dips and cheeses, impeccable hospitality brought by the lovely Anne and coralline. We all were greeted and completely comfortable, will definitely be back
