The Carmel, Yamba

Spotlessly clean rooms in a great location near the river, only a short stroll to main street cafes, shops, and beach. Chontelle is wonderfully friendly and helpful with recommendations, not to mention generous. She upgraded me to a 2-bedroom unit despite my initial protest, which really did up the comfort factor - it was so appreciated. There are lots of included extras that take the place to the next level - bikes, tennis court, basketball, fire pit, BBQ, pool... The Carmel is not just your average motel. Would absolutely stay again.

This was by far the most cleanest, comfortable and convenient stay we had, we were sad our stay was a very short one, but we are thankful we found The Carmel for our future holiday plans! I can honestly say, I will choose The Carmel above all the others! The two bedroom apartment was perfect in every way! Beds were comfortable, lounge is cozy and comfortable, the bathroom is spacious, the mini bar was perfect for our late arrival! The place was sparkling clean! We look forward to planning a much longer stay in the near future!

The Carmel is located perfectly for my regular visits to Yamba to visit family.
My first stay at The Carmel I phoned to make my reservation and the lady who answered was very friendly and welcoming!
I arrived at The Carmel and the lovely friendly owner (who booked me in) greeted me and I felt so welcome and immediately relaxed.
I was then told I was upgraded to the spa suite. What a treat! A stunning tropical themed room, very spacious and private. I had a Balinese style private fence around my front courtyard. A hammock was there for my use as well as outdoor furniture.
The bed and facilities in the room were comfortable and relaxing.
Unfortunately I was only booked for one night.
The next day I departed for a family funeral with my aging mother who lives at Caroona aged care facility around the corner from The Carmel.
I had to bring my mother back to Yamba and I was exhausted. I made the decision to stay another night and rang The Carmel. I was very blessed as it was after office hours but the lovely owner answered and remembered me so I was very blessed and was able to secure another lovely room and get the much needed rest I needed in a comfortable bed and a refreshing shower.

My family and I were warmly greeted by a lovely lady. Unfortunately I don’t remember her name.
I would say our accommodation was the cleanest we have ever stayed in . I only wish we could have stayed longer as it was just a one night stop over on our way home from Queensland . Would definitely recommend this lovely hotel.

Incredible! Wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Our first time in Yamba and Chontelle was incredibly lovely and accommodating. We had cold weather but still enjoyed the fire pit on this accom. The rooms are really beautiful. New soft carpet and gorgeous newly renovated interiors! Thanks so much a Chontelle we couldn’t have asked for anything more.

If looking to stay in Yamba, you must seriously consider The Carmel.
Our experience, right from first contact to leaving was superb. Chontelle went the extra mile to ensure our stay was an enjoyable one.
Our 2 br unit, which had been recently renovated, was spotless, spacious and had everything we needed. The beds were super comfy and shower/bathroom was much bigger than most.
The undercover parking spot had and access door which made unloading/loading a breeze.
Can't wait till our next stay..

This place is such a great find while visiting.

The venue is older but they have done such a great job in making it feel like a beach-styled getaway, it really breathes new life into it.

The staff were so welcoming and friendly and checkin and out was super easy.

Beds were super soft and comfortable and location was perfect. Just an easy walk or drive into town.

It has a tennis court and an amazing pool with seating.

The rooms have a minibar that wasn’t expensive.

Parking is easy, has a great pool and even a tennis court

Great value for money, nice and tidy! Excellent decor and soft comfy bed! Close to town. The room had everything you need and many extras that made it special! Staff member was lovely!

Lady owner so luvly. Upgraded us to 2 bedroom soon as we checked in. Can generally only afford twin single rooms for medium term stays. Rooms all renovated and sparkly clean. Entrance looked a bit down at heel at first but the inside shone. We loved it. Not handy to shops and beach but all those are walking distance away and they have bikes to borrow too

I was absolutely overwhelmed upon arrival.The room exceeded my expectation. The Accomodation was fantastic . A modern feel , full kitchen with appliances and cutlery .
The rooms were modern , modern bathroom , clean with comfortable beds . And a fantastic lunge with smart tv.
The kids were excited . A small tennis court , and bikes available to ride.
Outside a fantastic BBQ and fire pit area .
Great staff . I would recommend this to anyone and will definitely be back .

A real gem. Rooms were clean, spacious and comfortable. The pool was a great way to cool down and chill out in the afternoons. Katrina was lovely and referred to me by my name which made me feel very welcome. Would definitely go back.

Beauriful, clean room with fabulous amenities. Friendly and helpful Manager. Close to the main towm. our room was very quiet, beds comfortable. Best night sleep i have had in 20 years.

This place is perfect. The manager,Shontelle (hope I spelled it right) is just the friendliest, most helpful lady..couldn't do enough for us, even offered us a free upgrade which we declined as it would have been redundant for just the two of us. Our room was perfect. King size bed and fully equipped 👍 Great pool, 1/2 court tennis court and bikes provided no charge

We love coming to Yamba and especially the Carmel Yamba. We have been coming for the last 3 years and have always had a fantastic experience there. The hosts Chontelle and Todd have always been very welcoming and knowledgeable about the area. The new facade of the place and upkeep of the Carmel is awesome! We loved the Carmel. The managers are so positive and accommodating, the rooms are modern and very clean, and the location is very central. Even though it's on the main road we didn't hear any noise. We would definitely stay again and will be recommending it to our family and friends. Thank you so much.

Spent 3 nights to visit family, great service, clean and comfortable 2 bedroom unit. Everything you needed. Great BBQ area.
