Spotted Dog at Railway Hotel

The Spotted Dog, had welcoming atmosphere, and great service.
We rode our scooters from town and could leave them at the pub. After ordering the pizza, (which was amazing) we couldn't eat it all and were wondering how they would end up going back on the scooters. The staff made sure we had a practical take away box to take our leftover pizza in so we didn't spill it on the way home. Very grateful and would be first stop on our trip when passing through again. 🍕

Came here early (4:30pm) for dinner and it was quiet. Food came out pretty quickly. We really enjoyed the pizza! It has loads of topping esp ham and chicken in particular. The steak was also good too but slightly over cooked when asked for medium. All good was made with care.
All staff were friendly here. We had a great experience.

The prawn and sea scallop entree sized meal was delicious. A great atmosphere for a special celebration we held out the back beer garden area. Good staff.

Absolutely fantastic place to visit and have a meal and drink. The service was exceptional and welcomed our poochy with some chicken treats.

It was nice and quiet. It seems that more senior people frequent this place, and there were no noisy keeds - which was lovely.

Steak, pizza, salads, all look yummy and plating are nice. I ordered Japanese salad with crispy wanton and prawn. It was good and I like the seaweed.
Nice venue, good staff, clean toilet, reasonable price. They have room for kids, that's a good idea.

Great pub food. I tried the eggplant parmigiana as an alternative to the chicken parmigiana with a side of garlic pizza. It was surprisingly good, I'm not a vegetarian, but I just wanted to try something different. It came with a side of diamond cut chips, which were fresh and crispy.
The line to order was quite long on a Friday night, but once the orders were in, the food came out pretty quickly.
It does get a bit noisy though, but that's to be expected.

Great food! I got the recommended meat lovers pizza that came with real steak cooked medium rare. It also came with lots of chicken and pepperoni.

The staff were also lovely and created a great atmosphere.

What a hidden gem. Saw some good reviews online and at lunchtime in Bundy on a Tuesday my first choice option was closed. This was all to my benefit as otherwise I would not have had the pleasure of this hotel bistro. We were welcomed as we entered by extremely friendly staff and this set the tone for the visit. The menu is large and caters to all tastes and diets. We shared a seafood platter for one, which was huge. This consisted of snapper, prawns, calamari and oysters! Along with really good chips and salad. We also had a pizza bread - blue cheese. Mushroom and truffle oil. Very tasty. A good wine list - we enjoyed a nice Pinot Gris and at $12 for a large glass was good value.
Overall the food was of high quality, nicely presented, by great staff. Highly recommended.

How wrong can one be about a place. The first time i walked passed the Spotted dog i thought it was a pub, untill my girlfriend spotted it on Google maps and we found out it's a cafe/bar/restaurant. Once inside you would think you walked in a sports bar with all those tv's and i had my thoughts when i saw that the bar was bigger then the kitchen, but wow they can cook. I had the pork belly bites and they where easily some of the best i have ever eaten, the sause they used is really what makes they tast amazing. We also shared a vegetarian pizza that also tasted so good and they put so much on the pizza that the two of us could not finish one pizza. Also the staff where really friendly and kind and explained how how things went. If you ever travel through or stay in Bundaberg, make sure to stop nu the Spotted dog.

Great dog-friendly place to eat a lunchtime meal and enjoy a drink. Excellent service. Great meals, with the added (surprise) bonus of a little bowl of chicken for our furkid - 5 stars!

Had a great dinner at The Spotted Dog @ Railway Hotel. They went out of their way to cater to my dietary requirements and the pizza, service & location (newly renovated) was absolutely fantastic!!! Veg, gf!

Awesome pub and fantastic food. Korean Stir-fry and Panko Calamari ordered off the $14.90 bar menu. Will definitely be back. Loved it.

If I could give service a 6 I would. Fabulous food and tremendous service with us and our two dogs! Would definitely recommend

Had tapas here mark lavender was playing beautiful environment super friendly staff. Food on point and they do cocktails. When in town visit this place. Can't go wrong.
