Gisborne Library

For years, Gisborne library has been a place of calm, expert advice and fun activities. Loving the changes that get made and the continued great service from staff. The program of events from Gisborne and partner libraries is excellent!

The one place to find some piece and quite in a fast paced busy world. Computer savvy staff who are friendly, chatty and happy to help with all manner of enquires- nothing too big or small. The range of magazines and newspapers impressive. Outdoor area a delight to enjoy on a sunny day.
If not in the shelf then librarians able to help out with reserves or book recommendations.
Only problem is that whenever there is a downpour the buckets and pans come out to collect drips from the leaky roof. Very funny seeing the Librarians running around moving collections from imminent danger of water damage.
Great place for groups go gather and meet. As well as providing exhibition space and speakers on occasion.

We would like to acknowledge and express appreciation to Leeola who showed exceptional customer service today. She willingly and cheerfully assisted all my children and I with our liabrary needs. As a result we left feeling soo welcomed and uplifted.
Well done Leeola, we look forward to returning to Gisborne liabrary in the near future.

Fabulous library with friendly staff running a great 'Authors Talk' program. Great to see they support local authors

Got books to read for myself, DVDs and books for grand daughters. Staff are always very friendly, book check is simple and library well set out.

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great new renovation.
