Zig zag railway and the Newns state forest is a popular place to head with dirt bikes and 4x4's
Currently the station is closed due to bushfire damage. The tracks are all fixed and they just need some new carriages which should be due to open backup in 2016-17.

Great place to explore the old railway, some old trains are still remaining in pretty good condition, definitely makes for a good exploration day trip.

The Zig Zag Railway is an Australian heritage railway, situated near the town of Lithgow in the state of New South Wales. The line climbs the western flank of the Blue Mountains, using railway zig zags to gain height. A great tourist attraction to be operative and opened soon.
