We absolutely loved this place, we were able to take our doggo on the deck. The food was sooooo good I highly recommend the chicken wings equal par yo the best I have ever had. Wifey had the ribs and was impressed with them. Took a doggy bag with us. Love the vibe of the place and the staff we amazing. If you pass on this place you may never know what you have missed.

Stunning little place with some of the best meat dishes I've see and eaten. Service was great and one of the only places that brings all food out at once. Waitress was well informed about the menu and could suggest a few. They cater for kiddies. Parking could be a issue however there could be carparks around I'm not sure. Will definitely go back for a second visit. Thanks to the owner and his staff.

Great place. Great food. Great service. Exactly the right vibes. The sirloin steak was amazing. The Choofas Lager and Pikes GSM red wine were the perfect match. Our server and manager were simply amazing. It’s exactly what we wanted and needed for a Thursday night out. We will be back!!!!

Was recommended Choofas Smokehouse & Seafood to hold a work dinner for 10 colleagues who had flown in from around Australia for a work conference and we were looking for something just a little different to have a Team Dinner. Each member of our Team commented how impressed they were with the venue, service and the food. We mostly had the Meat and Seafood platters between us (enough food to feed an Army), however a few also elected to order their own plate. The meats (such a variety on the platter) just fell off the bone and was so very tender. The seafood was so fresh and delicious and the oysters "were to die for". We were all still salivating over the meal the next day too.

The atmosphere was great, the Wait Team attentive and friendly and we would most definitely choose to eat here again.

This is one of those reviews where I'm concerned I might not say enough great things and can't give more than 5 stars! Let's start with the service: From the time we walked in - the gentleman who greeted us (think he's the manager - sorry I never got his name).. clearly very good at his job. Friendly, welcoming, accommodating, passionate about the restaurant - just fantastic. Then the menu - spoilt for choice.. was a very difficult decision as everything sounded great! Then there's the wait staff: They were all working so hard and constantly busy, yet we still received great service from the wonderful Darleen. Atmosphere: Love the décor and a special call out for the amazing whiskey wall... Just awesome! So this should really be a 10 star review (but google only allows 5). Thanks to all the hard working staff at this restaurant (chefs included of course for the delicious food). My only regret is I'm not a local and can't visit every week!

Dropped in on a Monday night without a booking. We had a 1kg of fresh prawns and I had the 1/2kg of beef ribs (that I couldn’t finish). All the food was well prepared and presented. The staff were kind and attentive. I have been coming here for a while and they deserve a great review. Do yourself a favour and give these guys a try when you’re in Coolangatta

So husband and decided who dine at Choofas. What a delight. We are local and it was on our bucket list, but never got around to visit due to parking. Service is excellent. Husband being a Kiwi loves oysters and he was not disappointed
For mains I ordered a steak and hubby ordered the the ribs and we loved everything we were served We ordered to take home pea and ham soup and key lime pie. Soup for mama bear tomorrow at work. I highly recommended Choofas from the UK and New Zealand this is going to be frequent location for us. Thank you Choofas for great food and service. Forgot to say if you are unsure of anything, just ask. If we could give you more than 5 stars we would ✨ 💛

Excellent service from day 1, big thanks to Amy for meeting us night before wedding took time outside hours to open up for us, also for helping with set up also thanks to Amy’s mum for the extra table cloths you are a life saver 🙏and to the chef and staff amazing exceptional customer service experience we had bringing food out on time and can I say the food was epic delicious and plenty to go around and left overs too.
Wedding couple did not stress at all that day and were happy & everything ran so smoothly. We came to Choofas Saturday, the night of Cooley rocks and I got a table within 10 minutes. I had nothing but the best service, had drinks in my hand while I chose my food. I had the seafood platter which was delicious. Everything perfectly prepared. The staff took that extra time with us which really made our experience special even considering it was their busiest time of the year. Back here Monday and the warmth both me and my partner felt is unreal. Keep it up guys!! Our go 2 place

Seafood is fresh, well prepared and tasty! Great staff, very knowledgeable. Smells so good, like a backyard cookout! Fun atmosphere, good for a group or family event. A little loud but to be expected when the food is this delicious!

Very good service, staff is very friendly, food is tasty. We got recommendation from our friend in Gold Coast, so we went here to try yesterday, better come early to enjoy more.

Ordered take away fish and chips today for the family to enjoy on the beach. The gentleman inside was super friendly and welcoming, he added extra cutlery napkins and refreshing towels after asking us if we were making a picnic. Fish was lovely and came with a very generous Serving of beautiful chips, crispy and not oily. Was recommended to come here and so happy we did.. best fish and chips in cooly/ Tweed as we tried all of them 😂. Highly recommend grabbing some and watching the sunset from greenmount beach..magic.resturaunt quality food take away.

The beef shoulder was perfect and the sauce was great. The kids cheeseburgers are huge and great value, and a really tasty burger patty. Kids loved the restaurant. Staff were all friendly and efficient

Came in to do the Choofas XXXL Burger challenge. The burger was a massive 1.5 kg of goodness + 500g of fries or so! The burger was super tasty really enjoyed it! The fries were cooked well and lightly salted. I stumbled a lot with fries and completed the challenge in 45 mins. The wings were pretty good just not use to the sweet BBQ flavour. I enjoyed the crispy batter. They are known for their seafood chowder and it was tasty and creamy. The Key lime pie was delicious!! Which I took home to eat later. It was rich and creamy and the ice cream helped me to balance out the rush. Super super yummy.
The service team was awesome. Shout out to Jason and Team.They were very attentive to the needs and service was swift. Will definitely return for smaller meal next time.

Absolutely amazing food, literally blown away by the customer service - very accommodating especially for larger groups. The garlic bread and sweet potato fries are insane. On the kerb parking for motorbikes. Nothing more I could ever want.

We have been to Choofas four times in the past year. On our first visit we met the manager Jason. Pleasant guy, good business man and holds customer service as a high priority.

The food is always cooked as we've requested and usually can't finish what's on the plate! Side note, steak lovers MUST try the 800g Rib on the bone at least once. Make sure you go hungry!

Drink service is sometimes hit and miss. It pays to keen an eye on the wait staff if you're keen to get stuck into their large selection of drinks.

On our third visit we had some issues with the service. After having a discussion with Jason the next day, we were invited back to try them again. The service we received was fantastic and I hope that it continues. Jason's focus on customer service is evident and if you have any troubles, don't hesitate to touch base with him.

It's great to see that Choofas has weathered the Covid storm as Coolangatta has struggled to the NSW border being 50m down the street. Hopefully it's onwards and upwards for them now that the QLD border has opened up.
