Wife had picked out a CASIO keyboard online as a birthday present to herself, I found the same model in Southenr Music 5 minutes from my house. I popped in for a look, got a great demo and lots of great advice, and soon realized the next model up was worth the extra coin. You might save ten bucks buying off Amazon, but you don't get that old school face-to-face service - and these guys are great at it. Wife is super happy, and I'm glad to see a local business get the money. Good stuff!

Small Old skool shop. Very helpful staff. Excellent pricing as I was ringing around for a guitar for my daughter. These guys were the cheapest by a 1/3 of the cost of other stores. They organised over the phone payment and for a family member to pick it up as I was working.

Great store, it's my go to music store quite often, if they don't have what you're after, they'll do their best to get it in if its possible, even if it's just a simple thing like a different colour to what was on the store floor (they had red, i wanted black, i got the black one), not to mention they're a bunch of highly knowledgeable staff and always being able to answer any question, they've always gone above and beyond with me personally, even with old discontinued items, but they were always able to deliver. i highly recommend this store.

I cannot speak highly enough of Southern Music Centre and its staff, in particular, Nick.

I organised to purchase a beautiful new Ibanez RGT at a price that could not be beaten by any other music shop and asked if they could ship the guitar to me by TNT rather than Fastway (painfully slow) which they promptly agreed to.

The RGT did arrive very quickly, but, despite being packed well, had incurred damage to the headstock. A phone call to SMC was made and as requested, plenty of photos were sent of the damage to both packaging and guitar and was told to leave it with them and it would be sorted out.

It took a few weeks but as Nick pointed out during his update phone calls, insurance companies will do anything to get out of their obligations but SMC would battle for a positive outcome. I finally received a phone call from Nick informing me of the result of the claim which was quite satisfactory considering the damage to the guitar.

If it were not for the persistence and tenacity of Nick, things would undoubtedly have been different. The support from Nick was incredible and is a rare thing these days. So often, “once you’ve paid your monies, thanks and see you later” is the common trait. Not so with SMC

Do yourself a favour and buy your next musical instrument or accessory from Southern Music Centre and be assured that if you have any problems or difficulties, help is literally a phone call away. Buy with confidence.

Phenomenal service! I ordered a Kala U Bass online and had a small issue with how it sounded amplified. Nick sent me a new one straight away which made me a very satisfied customer. Highly recommended!

While the outside of the store is a little tired the staff and and range are anything but. Very happy with the service we received when recently we purchased a new digital piano. The staff could not have been more helpful. They have great range of beautiful and very tempting guitars.

They were both so professional and sincere at sorting an issue and I’ve never had such good customer service in my life. Great to deal with. Literally saved my bass rig. Was able to exchange my Mooer macro power S8 a bit after the standard cool off period for a Cioks DC5.
Didn't just make all my pedals sound MUCH better but my Ampeg combo sounds like it should.The noise that I always thought was the amp was just cheesy pedal power funk faithfully reproduced by my rig. DO NOT skimp on your pedal PSU. You will NEVER know what your amp or pedals really are capable of without one. The sound of near silence with the volume @ 12 on my Ampeg & the volume turned off on the Bass & a pair of high gain pedals engaged is a hell of a good outcome. THANKYOU Southern Music!
