Surf and Sun Surf School

Great instructors, great experience. After a brief safety briefing and a CLEAR explanation of how to get surfing with just the right level of detail to get started, we were trying to surf. And many of us got up and surfing, albeit clumsily! It helps that the beach is perfect.

I had a morning session with Alex and two other amazing girls in early September. It was one of the most amazing experiences I have ever had. It was my first lesson in Australia and, of course, I fell many times but always with a big smile. Alex kept me motivated. It was a great workout. After two hours, I could feel my body working hard.
I loved that I was given an ebook to read about surfing before and after class. It is a lovely idea. I highly recommend experiencing the surf vibe with Surf and Sun. It was great fun. I loved the resilience this sport taught me. No matter how many times you fall, always pick up your board and keep trying until you succeed. Thank you for your patience Alex, I really appreciate it.

I had my first surfing lesson as an adult under the guidance of instructor Nick, and it was brilliant. Nick had a great sense of humour and made the lesson super engaging. The group was well managed with a mix of adults and kids. I would highly recommend to anyone

I would recommend these guys to anyone that wants to learn to surf. Our coach Alex was excellent, both my daughter and I were able to catch a couple of waves in rougher than normal conditions.
Highly recommended.

Beginners lesson for my two kids, 8 and 10, and they loved every second of it. Equipment and location was spot on and the instructor was awesome. Highly recommend.

Our 10 year old daughter went to Middleton with a friend for the lesson and had the best time. The instructor was awesome and helped the kids get better with each wave. Would recommend 👌

The surf lesson today was fantastic ... the guy/coach ... is the best ! 👏 i had a great time .. not too bad for a 1st timer at 60 years of age ... I'm definately gonna do it again ...not too soon ..gonna work on my fitness 💪a bit then i'll be back 🙂 geez it was so good and so proud of everyone else doing it too 👏 Woohoo !

My son has been learning surfing with Surf and Sun for almost two months. The coaches are so energetic and encouraging. We really appreciate the outstanding customer service as well.

Amazing experience. Amazing staff and service. Boards and wet suits supplied and the instructors are really good at teaching you how to surf and getting you up on the boards and riding waves. I took 4 x exchange students to learn how to surf and they were all up on the boards and riding waves only after a short time into their lesson. They are raving about this experience and said that 'Alex' their teacher was brilliant. Would highly recommend this company for surf lessons and a fantastic experience.

Everything was great. Booking was easy and friendly.
Overcast and cool day but the guide was happy, positive and patient.

Had a surf lesson in the middle of winter and it was still great fun! Our instructor was really friendly and knowledgeable. Told us a littlea bout the local eco-system as well as surf safety. Managed to get my son and me on our feet first lesson. Would definitely recommend!

My partner and I had a surf lesson with Chloe yesterday afternoon. I had a lesson before but hadn't seen any results but yesterday Chloe had both of us up and riding quickly and gave lots of helpful pointers on how to improve. She helped us learn how to pick the right waves, how to correct imbalances, foot positioning, how to direct the board. Honestly such an amazing lesson and well worth the money and time. Thanks Chloe!!!

Outstanding surf lesson! Took a few kids aged 9-11 and they all had a blast! We’re all able to get up and stand on the board by the end of the first hour. Great service, was sent an informative information booklet prior to the lessons. Highly recommend using this surf school.

All their Equipments and wetsuits they provided are well maintainer aswell.

Having to stand up the first time on the board was an amazing feeling.

I'd recommend it those who are willing to be adventurous or just want to try somthing new.

I have always found them great! I had lessons with these guys a few years back and today my daughter and nieces went out and Had a ball.
Their staff were all great even though I’ve had to change booking a couple of times and the coach today was fantastic 😊

Loved my lesson with Surf and Sun! The staff were nice and equiped our group with knowledge whilst on the sand and then provided lots of support in the water. Had heaps of fun and felt very well taken care of. The wetsuits/boards provided were great as well! Will be coming back and recommending to friends and fam

We have used the surf school several times, and today just hired boards and wetsuits. Service is perfect - friendly, relaxed, and knowledgeable. Coaches are great with kids and adults. Prices are reasonable. Perfect for an "experience-based" present for kids and adults.
