ONLY PLACE YOU EVER NEED FOR EVERYTHING FISHING!!!!! I'm not a friend of a worker or owner, this is just coming from the best experience I've been given at any store. For starters I am a real novice with fishing and with the team and Liams help I was taught alot, shown thru what I needed and than gave cheaper to quality options. Not just load me up with the most expensive stuff. They didn't make me feel dumb that I am a novice and even when leaving the Doug Burts I broke the eye of the tip off the rod that i just bought and the gave me a new one even though it was my fault and there reasoning was, 'it's Christmas'. These guys a friendly, super knowledgeable and there range is mind blowing. Sorry for being a pain but I hope that writing my experience up can let all the fishing community know they only need to come here than any other mob. Cheers lads.

This is an amazing establishment for two reasons. Firstly, a wide selection of equipment, but particularly, excellent customer service: Stuart superbly fixed the eyelet of my popping rod at late notice, he ended up repairing it on Christmas Day! I picked it up boxing day after the storms, so there wasn't any power in the shop. Even with this, Jake and Stuart were willing to spool a reel with 700m of braid by hand, in the dark and with no air-conditioning. They didn't charge me any labour costs and were just happy to help out. All the while, the shop was brimming with customers and they were simulateneously tending to all of their requests. It was a great experience and a testament to Doug Burt's Tackleworld

First time I’ve been to the shop today and from now on I won’t be going anywhere else. What a great bunch of blokes. Knowledge plus and more. Without asking for a discount I was given an amazing price on a quality reel, so much gear in stock, everything you could wish for. So friendly and they have all the time in the world for you. Great experience

Great seminar, plenty of great information and some good tips too. I can’t recommend these guys enough if you want the feel of a family owned business who will take the time to give you advice and help you with anything you need go no further. Their tips and advice is honest, consistent and always beneficial whether you're and experienced angler or just starting out.
The shop has more gear on offer than you would ever need, and always very price competitive.
Furthermore, the weekly YouTube fishing report updates and "Education Seminars" are invaluable.

The best tackle shop on the Gold Coast! I recently took two fishing rods in for repairs. Stuart was very obliging and did a great job on these repairs. I was pleasantly surprised to to discover they do in shop repairs here as BCF and Anaconda don't provide this service.
The price of these repairs and subsequent tackle I purchased was also a pleasant surprise as I expected the cost would be much higher.
Stuart was also very helpful explaining how different lures operated and also advising the types of lures that would suit my requirements relevant to my proposed fishing environments.
Doug Burt's is now my 'go to' tackle shop, thank you Stuart for your assistance.

Was referred down to the store by Mum and Dad, who had visited last weekend and purchased some surf rods. Old boy told me to ask for Derek, who was had been super helpful to him - glad I did. Derek was super helpful, spent a fair bit of time with me making sure I bought a surf rod set up right for me and within my budget. No over selling, just good old fashioned customer service. Highly recommend!
