Japodski Otoci

A great attraction on the Una river. It's a series of small islands that have been connected with bridges and that sport a couple of beaches, a playground, a restaurant, and a camping spot. It's a short 5-10 min walk and it's pet friendly (although leashes are required). We stopped at the restaurant and, although only about half the menu was available due to being out of season, the food was great and the service was very friendly. There is no entrance fee.

We drove 2 1/2 hours to get here and it was absolutely worth the drive! I can’t say enough about how lovely this place is. There isn’t a single negative thing to say about it. The River and lake are beautiful and the surroundings are breathtaking! Our server Nejra was great, Super friendly and very professional. When she was busy serving other customers, another staff member checked in with us to ensure we were being served well. Amazing! The food was fantastic! We all ordered something different and enjoyed everyone else’s food and it was all delicious! Eating an amusing meal with amazing service on the deck with ducks floating on the crystal clear lake that was 1 meter away was delightful. I highly recommend everyone visit this beautiful place if you’re in BiH, it’s truly amazing!

Una is such a great river. So clear so beautyfull.
U can see cristal clear water.
No waste at all around nature. This is so important. Citizens from Bihać obviously care about their environment.

It was very nice weekend getaway with coworkers on Japodski otoci. Place is nice, staff is very friendly and food is good. Rafting was good and we had very good skipper. I totally recommend!

It is an amazing experience to visit such a wonderful place. We arrived by noon time, paid ticket with reasonable price then we check out the whole place. A little zoo In there plus cafe by the river with wonderful view
Highly recommend for families with kids particularly

This place is beautiful and has soul through the people working there - they wished to make us feel welcome! We stayed in a bungalow and it was one of our nicest ways to go to bed and wake up from around the world. Una is indeed magical! ♥

Absolutely wonderful place to visit. Very clean and peaceful. Activity for everyone…. Walking, having, biking, rafting, restaurant with great food. Definitely worth to visit.

Lovely extra-ordinary experience

Beautiful place to relax during summer days. It is not really for the kids under 5 years because of the river which surrounds this place but with kids older than 4 years there is nice playground in the shadows.

Very nice place between the river & woods. You will feel the breath of nature.
The road to the place is narrow. Only one car can pass.

Glamping break is a great way to find a pattern which gives you energy, better quality of sleep and tranquality ; the early morning sunshine and slow sunsets both act as ques for the body to wake up or wind down. A place where you find the stillness of the mind. Fireplace for connecting the family, water sounds of the river Una and swimming in the coldness and kneipping, just pure nature. Happiness. It is a sweet escape indeed. Very kind and helpfull stuff, you can rent kayaks or bikes for free if you are a guest of Japodski otoci, you can enjoy every bit of calmness here. In love with this place. We will come back for sure! 💚

The food is excellent, the waiters are friendly. Prices are great, you can eat well for 5 euros. The ambiance is beautiful, as well as cute messages along the entire complex. Better infrastructure to the Japod islands is urgently needed (I think that the authorities of the Una-Sana canton should take care of this). All in all, a great location for rest.

Wonderful place to visit in Bosnia. Gem of nature as all locations on Una river. Real family place with lot of sights to see and take picture. Animals to pet and feed (even a deer).
Real nice food and lot of places and things to do. Prices are fair approx. ( parking 1 euro, lunch from 7-20euros with real nice portions). Road to this place is bit sketchy, but it's worth of visiting. Please visit Japodski islands.

You sit next to the beautiful river Unna. The food is absolutely tasty, especially the ćevapćići and the trout. Big recommendation!

This might be the most beautiful place I've ever seen! The rustic wooden bridges, the ivy-covered forest floor, the turquoise water rushing in white-capped rapids--all combined for an incredible experience. Easy to find using Google Maps, just enter Japodski Otoci. It is free. It is a small area; you can walk the whole thing in ten minutes, but there are places to sit and enjoy the beauty, and a restaurant.

Beautiful place on river Una. Bunch of small foresty islands spread on the river Una. There are some very cool accommodation options available on the islands, but the space is limited so there are not many rooms available. Just one tree house, few glamping sites and very small camp. Very cute though.

We had an amazing time at the campsite. The whole area is very romantic and looks like a forest in a fairy tale. Japodski Otoci is inviting you to an human untouched area full of nature. We will come back and already miss this wonderful place and the lovely warmhearted people (service) there. Come and discover this stress free zone by yourself!

Perfect for a romantic stay in Bosnian nature

A brilliant destination, developed with great care for the beautiful Una river and its natural surroundings. We were there as four families with 10 children and our stay could not have been better. The young staff at the restaurant was absolutely brilliant and eager to make you feel at home. I was really taken aback with the kindness, the level of service and attentiveness of the staff, while always maintaining the laid back, no fuss attitude so in tune with the natural surroundings. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we will definitely be coming back soon.
