Veurne, in Belgium, is the perfect overnight stop if you're travelling away from/to the Le Shuttle at Calais, lying north of the French/Belgian border, in the direction to/from Brussels, Antwerp, etc. The town is located a short distance away from the E40 (exit at junction 1a), and the hotel itself is ideally located, with secure private parking, and a short walk away from assorted restaurants, cafés and bars in the Groot Markt. The hotel is family owned and run, and they have a restaurant in Veurne too (De Plakkers), which serves fabulous food and drink.

Lovely in every way. Warm, welcoming hosts in this handsome hotel close to the centre with a large terrace where you can sit quietly, enjoy a drink or a meal, even breakfast. Safe storage for our bicycles. Clean comfortable rooms. Excellent breakfast with fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order, croissants and more. Plan to return and would strongly recommend.
