Regional Museum of History Kardzhali

Definately must visit place in Kurdzhali. Not a big museum but very tidy.

When visiting Kardzhalli, this is the place to start the expedition!

The museum is located in a very beautiful building. The artefacts are very diverse and are organised in expositions on 3 floors.
All the ladies that work there were so polite and helpful.

The only thing that was "strange" was that we were not allowed to take pictures inside, while in almost all other places there's no problem about it.
Overall we enjoyed everything about this place.🍀

Very interesting place with a lot of history of the region along with geological findings. There is a lot to see and learn. Also, there is a small shop in the corner of the museum's yard - to the left from the street entrance, with many beautiful pieces - a lot of semiprecious stones from the area - Agate, Zeolite, Amber, crystals etc, Bulgarian embroideries, pottery and a lot more. I like to pick gifts from this store. Owner is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Great expositions (archeology, nature and 19th and 20th century local society) in a magnificent building. The staf was very polite and accompanied us during the visit!

Ottoman heritage complex.
It was built in the early 1900s with coins collected by the Muslim people at that time. Today, it is used as a city history museum. Its architecture reflects the Ottoman Architectural line very clearly.

Very exciting exhibit. There are items from all around the Eastern Rodopi region, Perperikon archaeological site and many geological and anthropological findings.
The human history on the surrounding area, dates further than 8 thousand years

This museum is a MUST.The objects exhibit are amazing, because of the quantity and exceptionality of their designs. Ethnographic museum upstairs, archeological on the first floor. Botanical and historical medium floor. It has a lot of light and the display of the material is modern, clear, well exained in English nd Bulgarian. The only thing I would suggest is a chapter in the ethnographic ort, related to this special minority:ncient slaves who turn muslims... I just saw them in vilkages and expected to learn more bout them in the museum.... but it looks like they don't exist... like roma..Stuff manages English so definetely worth going, visiting and contributing.

The building is beautiful! Located in a historic area with tobacco factories (unfortunately, not kept as museums).

The museum has 3 floors and every with its own theme. I'd recommend it is quite nice.

A nice local historical museum with multiple language item labels, so it's quite enjoyable even if you don't speak bulgarian.

Relatively large, well structured and containing interesting artefacts from ancient times to modern history, good to be seen.

A very interesting collection of artefacts dating from 9000bc to early 1900's. Well worth a visit.

It is a very good museum for Kirdzali.
