Very well-organised museum exhibitions, definitely must visit in Ruse!!! Among many other interesting historical objects and facts, do not skip the opportunity to have a closer look at the magnificent Borovo Silver Treasure ✨

For the price of 5 leva you get ti experience a lovely museum with thousands of exhibits, presented in chronological order with descriptions in both Bulgarian and English for close to all the exhibits. I ended up staying two hours here and it was worth every second.

The building itself is beautiful from the outside as well as the inside and although an old construction it has been revamped offering a great experience for the visitor.

The exhibition is standard Bulgarian regional musuem starting all the way back in the Neolithic and ending up in the modern era. As is typical for such places in Bulgaria, 500 years of Ottoman occupation are non-existent and no mention is made about the communist era

Treasure trove of ancient artifacts from 4th century BC, well presented. Plenty of signage in English.

It does concentrate on the local area and archaeological finds. The exhibits are explained well with almost all duplicated in English.

Very nice museum. The entrance is 2.5 euro for adult, for children under 6 is free. Several expositions, that include history from 10 000 years bc until 1945 ac. There is a second building nearby, that has expo of animals including mammoth.

One of the best museums I've seen in Bulgaria with a variety of exhibitions - from prehistoric bones and a mamut in full size, art exhibitions, caves and our days wild life. Very well organized and well kept museum!

I was an English teacher in Rousse 40 years ago and it was a wonderful pleasure to return to the town of my youth and see many positive transformations including this beautifully displayed and imaginatively set up museum. You MUST MUST MUST publicize it more widely! I am building a house near Stalpishte and it will have some Roman themes picked up at your museum!😀

Small and beautifully presented history of the region from Roman to modern times. In English and Bulgarian. A very special little museum with a pretty view of Battenberg Square from the terrace.
