Museum Center "Thracian Art in the Eastern Rhodopes"

A very interesting place! The full-size moch up of the tomb is worth a visit.

This museum center is mostly dedicated to recreating and presenting a local Thracian burial site. The burial site itself is conserved and is not accessible. The center includes a recreation of the the burial complex and the drawings found in its chamber. The drawings represent various hunting scenes from the life of a local Thracian noble/king that is supposed to be buried at the site.
The name of the center is a little bit misleading.
I would highly recommend visiting, especially if you are interested in ancient history, culture or art.

It is a relatively new museum with plenty of information about the Thracian tomb of Alexandrovo. I liked it and I'll consider it for the next visit to Bulgaria.
The entrance fee is 6 BGN for adults and 2 BGN for students.

Много интересна и информативна експозия. Основното в музея е копието на Александровската гробница, която се намира наблизо, но не е достъпна за посещение.

В музейният център ще видите възстановка на Александровската гробница, която е едно към едно с оригиналната. Има и много интересни експонати. Много е чисто и приветливо,а пък човека, който работи там е много приятен и отзивчив. Оригиналната гробница се намира на около 200 метра от самия музей, но е затворена с цел запазване на стенописите, защото както знаем българите обичаме да съсипваме културното си наследство и да пишем имената си навсякъде.

В музейният център "Тракийско изкуство в източните Родопи" е изграден бсолютно точен макет на Александровската гробница. Можете да я разгледате овън и овътре. Истинската гробница се намира на около двеста метра от музея, но в нея не се допускат посетители, с цел да се запазят уникалните стенописи. Има изграден паркинг, където да оставите автомобилът си.

Im Dezember 2000, im Hügel “Roschawata tschuka” (bulg. - „Рошавата чука”) beim bulgarischen Dorf Alexandrovo, Gemeinde Haskovo, ein Archäologenteam, geleitet vom Herrn Dr. Georgi Kitov (1943-2008), entdeckte eine einzigartige thrakische Gruft vom IV. Jh. vor Chr. Das Hügelgrab liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe des benannten Dorfes und zeigt sich deutlich im Hintergrund der Umgebung als eine schöne Anhöhe. Von der östlichen Peripherie des Hügelgrabs her beginnt ein Gang, der fortlaufend in einen rechteckigen und dann in einen runden Raum übergeht.

Die Vorbestimmung der Gruft wurde das letzte Obdach irgendeines der thrakischen Herrscher, deren Namen zurzeit ein Geheimnis für uns bleibt, zu gewähren. Mit ihrer Wandmalerei und Architektur ist sie eine der Perlen des thrakischen Kulturerbes in unseren Landesgebieten und reiht sich unter den größten Anlagen dieses Typs, die bis nun entdeckt sind. Die einmaligen Fresken der Gruft sind ohne ein Parallel weltweit und haben einen außergewöhnlichen künstlerischen Wert. Die Bildmalerei ist eine unschätzbare Informationsquelle für die thrakische Wirklichkeit.

Öffnungszeiten: Di - So 09:00 - 17:00; Eintritt: 2x 4 Lew.
Wir benötigten 15 Minuten für die Besichtigung des Museums. Der Originalhügel mit dem Thrakergrab von Alexandrowo / Александровска гробница befindet sich etwa 200 Meter weiter südlich - ist aber nicht zu besichtigen.

Wir besichtigten das Museum am 21.06.2022 und beschreibe es im "Reisebericht 112 Bolu, Edirne" ausführlich und belege es mit Fotos.

Museo donde hay una réplica exacta de la tumba de Alexandrovo, ya que el original no es visitable para su conservación. La tumba tiene un pequeño corredor y una cámara cónica pintada con bellas imágenes.
En el museo también hay expuestos diversos objetos e información variada
