Changing hair stylists is a huge decision. They are NOT all the same and when you don’t have perfect hair, you tend to be apprehensive in making the switch. But for whatever reason you may have, I am here to assure you the experience can be not only wonderful, but can literally help you feel great about yourself! That is exactly what happened to me when I called Avanti at Decarie Square and asked for a cut and blowdry with Stylist Extraordinaire Mary L. (don’t forget to mention the “L”)

I had been recommended to try Mary L. by someone whose hair I admired but I had been going elsewhere for about 8 years. Within one minute of meeting her, I felt seen, understood, and that I was absolutely in the right place, with the right person.

She didn’t rush it either: since she was meeting me for the first time, she wanted to see my hair before they washed it, to feel its texture and picture what she wanted to do, all while interacting with me for my thoughts and ideas. I showed her some pix from my phone of styles I had liked through the years and she told me what she recommended. I felt relaxed in her capable hands, and the entire experience was just amazing. I loved the end result—my husband and
kids loved it too—it was exactly what I had hoped, and more. She is an expert in hair care and styling, as well as a genuinely great person. And a topnotch professional. Plus she gave me advice for simple at home upkeep of my new style.

I highly recommend Mary L. to one and all who need a change for whatever reason. You too will choose her to take care of your hair health, appearance and stylishness.

The best hair stylist for all your bridal needs: Kyana! She did myself and my bridal party on my wedding day and her work is fabulous. Shes so calm and efficient, getting the vision of what you want exactly right. Love her work!

I love Avanti hairdresser. I come weekly for my blow outs with Terry V and she always makes me feel and look beautiful. Mary L is also amazing she does my daughters hair so nicely, she has patience as my daughter is only 6. Great ambiance and staff and so many services all under one roof no need to go anywhere else!

I booked Avanti for my wedding hair and makeup and was very happy with the service. Myriam did my makeup and it was exactly what I wanted, I felt like I was glowing all night long ! Kyan did my hair (low bun) and even with all the rain, wind and dancing it stayed beautiful the whole time !

Absolutely AMAZING experience!! I went to Avanti for a colour fix (after receiving a horrible highlight job at another salon). The staff at Avanti set me up with Laura, who was OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! She managed to repair my carrot-coloured, streaky hair and transformed it into a beautiful ash blonde balayage!!! It was Laura’s skills, knowledge and professionalism that won me over & I won’t go to anyone else now! Kyan was a great hairstylist too!! She made me look and feel glamorous!!!
