My son Bradley was transfered to the SCN may 9th. And spend 3 weeks at GGh. I couldn't express how amazing his care was; and how much I loved the nurses. They made my first NICU/Premie journey the most amazing experience. Despite having to leave my baby every night with them, I never doubted the care he recieved.
I also have to give a huge shout out to nurse Cindy. She will always be my favorite nurse and memory of being at the SCN. She was the support & backbone I didn't have and desperately needed. We will always be forever greatful to you Cindy, I hope you read this one day!
As well as nurse Ashley, you were such a great support & we hope all the nurses the best! I hope if I have another NICU experience, I'll see you all again!

Ok....from my ambulance attendants (Gar & James) to my ER nurse (Rasha) and my doctor in Er, I think his name was (Dr. Burkhart) who diagnosed Gall Bladder issues he was spot on..ER stay was wonderful..got a bed within 8hrs..
4W- where do I start wow wow wow..the care from the nurses was outstanding...but in honesty my favorites were (Ben & Annie), sorry to the other nurses but they are great.
My doctor, Dr. Attalla came to see me 7am basically told me my forthcoming tests, had my tests done by 11am, didn't see him till next day..so I called him "Ghost"...after
the original miserable attitude, I deeply apologized for my attitude..every single one of employees were professional.
Oh I forgot I have a new buddy Jorge man everyone needs to stop into see him, what a fantastic funny energetic and puts a smile on your face..in a place that needs cheerfulness.
I truly hope this gets to the ppl I mentioned, and gets posted because I'm sick and tired of people putting down the Hospital, there's always going to be glitches in any job
10☆- is my rating..people please be patient or head on down south and start paying..
Be proud...your all doing a fantastic job.
Keep it up!!!

Dr. Digby is the best. Had my shoulder dislocated and was in pain for more than an hour. After my x-ray, he calmly handled it in a way that I will feel less pain when he fixed my dislocated shoulder back.

Registered Nurse, Maverick Mooney, has excellent bed side manner. He explained everything and made me feel very comfortable. Took care of my ailment with empathy and went at the pace that caused me the least amount of pain. He is going to have a wonderful career in healthcare.

We went to ER on Monday ; my wife was not in pain but she was admited in less than one hour; the staff was polite, very professional and after a bunch of tests , blood work, scan, she was diagnosed and medicated so that when we left the hospital she was already with signs of recovery. And in the next couple of days they followed up with phone calls and assurance that at any signs of recurence to take her back immidiately. Referals and appointments were placed, medication provided and all we can say is a Thank you ER General Hospital staff for taking care if us in such a caring way. RB

Best ER experience of my life. I was there for quite a while, which is normal for hospitals in Ontario, but all the nurses were so kind and patient. Dr.Cockburn was great and they ran all my tests as soon as they could. Everyone was so hospitable and understanding :)

I took my mother to the Guelph General ER this morning and wanted to express my appreciation for the care she received. Right from admitting to the X-ray department as well as the blood work being done in an expedient way, Dr. Cameron, the nurses and support staff all handled my mother in a kind, courteous and professional manner. Thank you very much.

Overly impressed with this hospital and its staff. Had Day surgery on floor 3 & spent 1 night on floor 5, semi private. The Nurses were all professional and polite, I was very comfortable. Must say rhe food has improved dramatically oveg the years. Surgery with Doctor Morris went very well Im told, I remember nothing of it 😂. Thank-you to the doctor, Christopher Mirrus and surgery a staff (day surgery) , the Nurses, Mark, Kirstie & Ryan (floor 5) for your help and Care.

I had the most pleasant medical appointment ever. I checked in at diagnostic imaging, friendly, fast and easy.. I was having a steroid injection in my shpulder. The technician that came to get me was the most wonderful person, she was so kind and listened to me ramble on about my dogs, lol. The doctor was incredible, and actually listened to me about my injury and treated me according. I am so grateful for him. Thank you all very much. I don't know if the powers that be, or these truly amazing medical professionals will ever see this review, but I hope they do. The way I was treated today should be an example to all in the healthcare field as a way to treat patients. Thank you.

Outstanding experience at Guelph General Hospital emerg yesterday. From Nurse Carley to Nurse Practioner Maverick and the team, the care was amazing. The process was smooth and from start to finish with tests and diagnosis was less than four hours. Could not have been better - thank you for your hard work and very kind care.

I had a very positive experience at this hospital. I was scheduled for day surgery to remove some surgical materials on my left knee, to get to this day it took me almost 4 years of ER visits, family doctor referrals, some with not-so-positive outcomes and others, like my last orthopedist that did believe in the pain I was in and decided to remove the hardware. I arrived and was welcomed by the receptionist, then they passed me to the nurse in charge of allocating the cases, she was funny, calm and very nice, she sent me for XRAYS and was scanned in priority, when I returned they gave me a bed, and Andrea and Mary my day nurses welcomed me, explained all the procedure and what was going to happen, they answered all the questions we had, I waited for the surgical nurse to pick me up, his name is Dan, and he saw I was nervous and put me a warm blanket and told me it was going to help me, which it did. While I waited for the OR, I medicated and listened to the nurses working as a team listening to music in a happy environment. My orthopedist Dr. Al Shakman came to see me, and one by one, every team member came to say hello, the orthopedist that was assisting, Don, who came out of retirement to help the system, the lead nurse Katy, and the anesthesiologist, Dr. Zaki, all very comforting, calm, and ready. While in the OR I was introduced to the rest of the team, but the names faded out, they put on the anesthesia and off they went to perform my surgery. I was woken up by Tracy, my nurse in recovery, she checked on me for pain every 20 minutes or so, then she told me she was going to call my husband to come for me and moved me to day recovery. Then they told me I was ready to go home, they helped me go to the washroom, and while my husband went for the car, Daniel wheeled me out of the hospital and help me and my husband to seat me in my car. Overall, a great experience, human, positive and considerate. I know our healthcare system is broken, I waited years to have this surgery but when is your time, at least they make it worth it.

EDIT!!!!

Had my second baby and would love to give a HUGE shout out to my laboring nurse Emma. Honestly, she was everything.. So good with me, and our new baby boy. He had a lot of fluid in his lungs from birth and was spitting up a substantial amount the first night. Emma came in and took our babe under her care so I could get some rest as I wasn't sleeping with him in the state he was in. She was so kind, and just honestly felt like a friend. I really appreciated her 💓. Anyone would be lucky to have her care for you and your baby.

My review is directed strictly to the laboring nurses . I recently had a baby at Guelph General, and the nurses were def a make or break it for my experience. Janet is amazing. I met her in Triage 2 days before being admitted to my room, and then I was lucky enough to have her as my nurse for thr last 12 hours of my labour. She was absolutely wonderful. She made me feel so comfortable, I felt like I connected with her very well and she even stayed after her shift ended to come into my c section surgery, which was so comforting to me as I was pretty nervous. Thank you Janet for making my experience a good one , especially through the long labour that I went through.

Had an MRI scheduled for late June, 2024, so put myself on the cancelation list yesterday. A very friendly voice called this morning to explain that they'd had a cancelation and was I available. Happy to get this out of the way and ecstatic to have been treated so professionally and courteously by the staff.
