Beautifully organized book store. I can even smell the books. All the books are categorized very well and I love the summaries and little notes included with the books.

The records in the basement are organized good as well, it's like a totally different store. I personally don't collect records but they had both new and used. I felt like I was in my grandparent's basement when I was down there lol

TWO LEVELS!!!! Don’t miss the basement! I love this New and used book store and record shop. There’s lots of gems for all ages here and all price ranges. This store is part of the cute modern Essendene shopping area.

Love this bookstore. Great service, loads of records downstairs. I've even found books I've needed for courses here.

Helpful staff, lots of book to choose from a new well organized, they have a basement with more books as well as records and games. I take the kids at least once a month :)

The staff at this store is always friendly. They have a large selection of all genres of books, and manga. A decent selection of records and small inventory of dvds, blurays, and even a few games...

the store is very well organised with their books and records. their record collection is neat and they’ll assist you if you can’t find something. i’ve bought a handful of records from them and they work pretty well! their book collection is pretty vast and worth their price too. if you ever go to hemingway’s make sure you visit the basement, they’ve got a crazy good collection of non-fiction and factual books down there! super helpful when you need a quick read on something!

Adore this book store. Some great deals to be found and it is refreshingly well organized and easy to peruse. I'm always impressed at the quality of books and the minimal padding of inventory with less interesting material. Generally find it difficult to leave without 2+ books.

Hemingway Books is the type of used book shop that I love to explore. They are well-organized, have a wonderful selection and feature aisle, and their shelves are peppered with personal-touch staff reviews and recommendations. The whole place is clear, crisp, and staff are very friendly. They also have a great online search feature so I can check if a book's in before I pop over, they run accounts for customer credit, and they're located in a great little old-fashioned shopping/restaurant area in Abbotsford. If you're looking for a classic used-book shop atmosphere that's bright and welcoming, this is it.

Completely awesome selection of vinyl and books. Shoutout to Liam and Corey for keeping the record section so great. If you haven't visited yet make a date, you won't be disappointed.

BEST RECORD SHOP IN THE LOWER MAINLAND!! Cory the manager of the record shop was highly knowledgeable and very friendly! His love for music was so inspiring! We found all the 80’s vinyl rock albums we were looking for. Prices were the best we’ve found too! Lots of space for social distancing, super clean and great selection! What more can we ask for!! An incredibly friendly location, with lots of used books in varying genres to sate your appetite as part of the literate conglomerate. Downstairs also has a great selection of vinyl, most used but with a few selection of new on hand as well. It's definitely worth checking out as your prime media stop if you're in Abbotsford - you might just emerge with a few gems!

This is a great bookstore, and they also sell new and used vinyl records, with a large inventory of both. I went for the vinyl records. Great selection and service. Some of the prices were very reasonable, some were a little on the high side, most were in the middle, nonetheless a great place to go for records. Unlike most places that sell new and used records, they have everything catalogued on their computer systems, so it is very easy to find out if they have something. This also allows them to put you on a waiting list for titles that you're looking for and they will call you when they get them in. I have never seen that anywhere else that does this, except for strictly new sellers like London drugs.

An excellent place to pick up any books and records, that you maybe looking for. Excellent staff and very helpful, looking for a book that they don't have they will try and find one for you and put it on hold for you when it comes available. Very clean establishment and very well laid out so you don't have to waste time.

A beautiful little shop in downtown Abbotsford. This record store might just be my favourite for being small but well supplied. It's in the basement and really gives a retro record store atmosphere, I recommend checking it out they have a great selection!

Five five five five stars. Wonderful store. Prices are reasonable, books are generally in good shape and the prices suit individual books. Found many rarer copies, and great variety of all subjects. The worker there, I'm assuming he was a manager, said he puts down various requests from individuals in his database if he's ever shopping for books somewhere, and he'll buy copies of books that people request and bring them back to Abbotsford for them. HIGHLY recommended.

This is my favorite book spot, they have a great selection of vintage books here!!! ♡ their customer service is amazing too. They also have an in store credit system for trading in your books which is a huge plus when you're spending anyway!

This is one of the last individual bookstores. There is a great reason for this as the staff is insanely knowledgeable about literature and all topics covered in the store. The owner is a military historian this if you want this type of book, this is definately the place to go. I would highly recommend everyone to come by and have a look. This place is a true gem in a very impersonal industry.

The staff have always been so helpful, volunteering to find a book I saw on their website, several times. Also, they have ordered books in for me and called me promptly when they were ready for pickup. I took some books in to trade for credit, and they were very kind and gave me credit for the book I had ordered in. I prefer to support local businesses like theirs, rather than the big chain stores. Go in there and have some fun, it's fabulous!
