Great food and service! The fried chicken was incredible

I completely enjoyed my one meal there last week, as the food and service were both excellent! I enjoyed a few of their signature tacos, and liked all of them. Our server Catherine was an absolute all star, and was so friendly and professional. Very cool spot tucked in the country side. Merci beaucoup!

Amazing mexican food (you'll find tacos, quesadillas, tostadas...) in a rustic vibe restaurant! Near biking trails in the middle of the woods, this place has great service!

Small restaurant with a lot of character, offering gourmet Mexican food and unique beers. Friendly service, interesting menu, warm fireplace. Perfect place to go after visiting Val David park.

Quaint converted railway station on the p'tite train de nord close to the public beach on lac Raymond. Had delicous fish tacos with a pint of local brewed beer also delicious. Good prices, friendly staff, well kept garden/ terrace.

This is a must-go to spot! The food is outstanding, the choice of beer/ wine is A-1, the service friendly and the atmosphere has a cozy and happening vibe. We were recommended to try it out and were blown away at the amazing experience. Looking forward to a return visit!

Very delicious tacos and great service. We tried pork, chicken, fish and beef tacos and chips with pico de gallo. We absolutely loved the chicken tacos!! Everything was cooked perfectly and the sauces complimented the meats very well.
Our servers and host were very kind and polite and explained the menu to us.
Overall, great experience and highly recommend!

When you’re in Val David, there are two places you need to eat at (and a vegan ice cream place). MAPACHE, Épicurieux, and Face nord for ice cream. If you hit these three, you will have the absolute best day of your foodie life.
What’s more - the music playlist is on point, the owner is always out running around making sure you feel like you’re the only table there. His beer recommendations are excellent, he knows his menu & his suppliers inside & out. This place is still off-the-beaten-path enough to be a special favourite of mine. Don’t miss it!

La Mapache was the highlight of my trip to Val Morin. That the home of my new favorite Mexican restaurant is in the Laurentian Mountains is almost as counterintuitive as Le Mapache itself! There could not possibly be a more casual and comfortable restaurant on the xc ski trails anywhere in the world. The folks who run it are friendly, funny, and serve great beer! They also show creativity, imagination, and impeccable taste with their food. In over 20 years of trying to abide by the Ornish Plan to combat heart disease I have never enjoyed a restaurant where the staff and kitchen were so responsive and skilled in personalizing their food. Thank You!

Absolutely loved it. Really friendly welcome, fun atmosphere, great modern take on Mexican food without being too modern. Great quality, beautifully presented, good choice (vegan too), very fresh, super tasty. And it's on the Petit Train du Nord which makes the visit post or pre walk/ski, totally perfect. We'll definitely be going back and totally recommend to everyone, winter and summer. 🤩🤩🤩

Seems low key from the outside but don’t judge the book by it’s cover. The place is magnificent, perfectly located for you to stop during a bike ride and grab a bite. Top quality ingredients, fabulous presentation, great cuisine and super friendly service (they have remembered me after 1 visit!!!).

Great experience! I had the fish tacos and I am very happy with my choice. You order inside and then they bring your food out to you. Awesome selection of microbrew beers as well. Definitely a spot to go back to. They are located right off the petit train du nord.

Wow, The jewel of Val Morin. I tried it all, beef steak tacos, delicious, veggie tostadas delectable, zucchini quesadilla superb and even the homemade chip and dips were special. Truly a labour of love and you can taste it in every bite. Compliments to the Chef Etienne!!
