Stopped by this nice pub while out for a drive
Service was excellent. They had a New York steak dinner on special and it was very tasty
The view from the patio of the river is amazing. Would definitely pop by again

Our friends took us to this pub recently for dinner. We really loved the atmosphere of this place. The service was really good and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious . We had the spinach / artichoke dip, French onion soup and the Gilly burger was mouth watering delicious. We will be going back again

Always enjoy watching the marine traffic along the river. Ordered a flight of beer from an extensive offering. Split a cod burger with my friend. Everything was delicious! The fries were amazing.

Beautiful setting / scenery for a lunch or evening. Food is served quickly and is a fair price. You won’t go home hungry!

Came here for lunch. Perfect lunch it was. We had the chowder which was nice and rice and full of flavour and enriched with seafood. We also had cod fish and chips and it was fried perfectly and the chips were nice and fresh and delicious. Prices was reasonable and to top up with the view of the river and Mount Baker was the the icing on the cake. Service was great and very polite. Highly recommend especially on a nice clear and sunny day.

It was business meet up and we four colleagues had a nice lunch on December 15th, 2024 . The pub has a nice waterfront patio and inside the ambience is nice with fireplace and ample space . we have some great starters like Calamaris, chicken wings .
I ordered baked Haddock and prawn with rice . The taste was delicious.
The server was very courteous and helpful .
Over all the experience was awesome

I used to visit this pub often many many years ago and then I moved away. Came back to catch up with longtime friends and was delighted at my whole experience. I had the halibut and prawn bake and it was delicious! Great selection of beer on tap. The service was great. The waitress could see that we were really engrossed in our conversation and let us take our time. I didn't feel like we were rushed out. Looking forward to the next time we can come back.

We have been wanting to go try this pub for a while and tonight we finally had a chance and now we regret why we didn’t go at an earlier date. Wings are awesome. I don’t know if we were too luck or is it the normal thing here but wings were so fresh and crispy. seasoning and sauces were good. Salt and pepper is a bit too salty tho. Watch out if you have high blood pressure. Location is good. Great views and patio. We will go back

As always, food was very good 👍 and fair priced in today's world of "everything costs more". Tried the Cod tacos, Garlic prawns... no regrets...and they have the best pub fries! Maybe one day they'll offer "Cajun Garlic prawns"...I'd really go for those!!
The service is always friendly and the staff always "real"...very refreshing from the fake welcome one seems to get in other places. A hot, sunny day but comfortable on the patio with the breeze coming off the water. A super way to celebrate our n'th (stopped counting at 10; each is special, yes?) anniversary and my wife loves The Gillnetter!
I recommend, again, without hesitation!

Upd: I'm editing my review back to 5 stars for service and overall, as I can see that this pub has a genuine willingness to make the service better for any dissatisfaction people mark. I've been contacted quickly and Leisa listened to my concern and recieved a detailed feedback. With everything said, hopefully that was only one experience that didn't go as well as we hoped it would be. The food will be marked after our next attempt to dine there.

This is my original experience before any action has been taken:
We loved to come over, especially during the wings night. And yes, I understand that it's probably the busiest night and staff do their best to serve things.
Ordered red hot and salt & pepper wings along with cauliflower wings. The latter were... okay. Put aside a few pieces of clotted batter. Red hot and salt & pepper wings came on one large platter, although previously different flavors were served separately. My spouse cannot eat hot stuff, luckily there was not so much of a contamination.
Salt and pepper were SUPER dry. And SUPER salty. They tasted off, like prepared in the old oil. Red hot were great, though not so much of a sauce on them (the last time it was literally dripping!).
On top of everything, I've got a glass of water with ice, which was probably 75% of ice. Was never asked if I need more water and throughout the presence we were only approached once, no drinks refreshments were suggested.

We will definitely give Gillnetter Pub a second chance. We had a lot of great experience with them for years.

The $7 before 7 menu was great and the beat the clock wings deal is great. The hot bleu chicken wings are incredible and highly recommended. Happy hour before 6 is also a great deal with a good selection of beers ranging from Bud Light to Original 16 copper ale. Service was great too!

We went back for Sunday brunch. Honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. Will definitely be a regular here!

The restaurant needs some renovations, wasn’t impressed when we first entered but the food was amazing. So tasty and friendly staff. Definitely will go again.

The go to pub for my wife and I, huge menu with all sorts of goodies, I recommend the tuna tataki, it’s an appy but might as well be a main, awesome drink selection, many beers on tap, the selling point at the Gillnetter is and always will be the patio sitting right on the Fraser River, gorgeous views in every direction, staff are kind and courteous, check it out, the little gem on the water.

Love their sunday brunch. It's all you can eat and so many options. Staff are friendly. The Gentleman makes omelet from what you choose is very nice. The location is very unique, it's by the river and has it's little private deck in the river. You can enjoy a lite walk by the water after your meal or ride your own boat through the river and park there during your time at the pub.

The location of the Gill is on the Fraser River so the patio view is nice and relaxing. The food is quite good with something for everyone. We ordered wonton soup, sandwich meals and Cobb Salad. Everything was tasty and portions are substantial. It has a good beer and bar selection. It is a busy local hangout (so parking can be a pain), and best of all... best prices in the area! Bon appetite!
