We went in to browse, and left with a hamster. No sales pressure, but they did have a thorough questionnaire that we went through before purchase (I like that idea). A sales associate walked us through everything and provided some great tips. We've had hamsters in the past, but learned even more!

The young man that works in the fish area is amazing! He has more knowledge about aquarium fish than anyone I have ever met. If you have any unanswered questions about your tank or fish, go and see him. I think his name is Malcolm.

Came in to explore and left with much more!
The store manager Sogol was friendly, professional, and so knowledgeable about the pet food I was looking at for my new puppy. She was extremely busy but gave me the time I needed to make an informed decision.

I wanted to buy some pet food for my dog and got help from store manager. She was super nice and helpful. She explained about all the brands and I decided to buy a Few things that I didn't even know how bad I needed. Highly recommended and I’ll be back very soon.

The staff is experienced, welcoming and knowledgeable. I would give them more stars if I could. Also, I did a lot of research about adopting a ferret and for small caged animals, their ferrets always seem happiest in their environment compared to others I've seen. I'm glad they don't have to wear the zoo trainer uniform anymore I found that to be a little demeaning and controversial. Last time I went in there because of a skin condition my German Shepherd had, I walked out with a new brand of food to fix the problem and became a lifelong customer.

As an avid tropical freshwater aquarium hobbyist, I am very impressed with the variety of product brands this store carries in both the equipment and the fish food sections. Specifically, I was recently looking for a heater for my nano-tank. No other pet stores, including the specialty tropical fish stores, could offer such a diverse inventory! As for the livestock selection, unfortunately, none of the chain stores, including this one, could possibly compete with the few specialty stores we have here in Lower Mainland.

I always have a really positive experience while I'm at petland. All the staff are super nice and knowledgeable. Yes the prices are a bit on the higher side but I don't mind when I know I'm getting products that are made in canada. I have several fish that I have purchased from them and all are happy and healthy

Love this place. Has a mom and pop feel with the selection and prices of big box stores. They are the only pet store that carries certain items in the lower mainland.

First time in the store. Great selection of fish and plants. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Their betta display made me happy, obvious care for these beautiful fish. Thank you.

My kids always after shopping at Costco visit here staff are friendly and helpful with entertaining kids and playing with kids. Their aquarium selection is awesome as well.

My girlfriend and I recently adopted our two month old Hedgehog from petland and I'm extremely impressed with the service that staff provided. Staff member Sandra was specifically helpful, she helped us find everything we would need and made the whole experience easy and memorable; we will definitely be going back to anything that we need. 👍

Hello Petland, goodbye PetSmart.

Needed a new hamster. Was going to PetSmart as usual, but saw Petland and thought I'd give them a try. What a difference! The selection and display of animals at Petland is supeirior to PetSmart. Aimie is very helpful, knowledgable, enthusiastic and genuienly cares about the animals. I'll never go to Petland again.

I was looking for a big, fat, super chill hamster, and got exactly what I wanted.

its so cute to go see all the animals, great selection. the beta fish are kept in small aquariums with running water, unlike petsmart having them in tiny containers with no running water. still far too small for them to thrive but a step ahead from the rest. expensive toys but thats expected from any pet stores. i felt bad for one of the bird because it looked like it wanted to come out and be interacted with, looked lonely.

Malcolm needs a raise. He's fantastic and is just as enthusiastic about my pets as I am, plus insanely knowledgeable. If he tells me what to do or recommends a product I can walk away confident in the information I now have.

Super friendly staffs ! Came all the way fromVancouver west ! They sell Higgins sunburst here as well which is hard to find in Vancouver ! They also allow to pet the pet before you get them !

The woman in the fish area was very helpful. A fish enthusiast not just someone working a job. I'm confident that she was able to steer me to the species best for my tank.

I love this place! The pets are well cared for and the area is always clean! We enjoy looking at the pets and having the staff explain more about their lifestyle to us! I adopted my cockatiel from this location and it’s the best decision I made!

I'm a new dog mom, and went to petland exhausted and anxious about my puppy's teething- Malcolm was so incredibly helpful, truly went above and beyond to share so much knowledge about products I can use to help my pup. My puppy is absolutely obsessed with the recommend toy/chews and the biting has improved signifcantly!
Will most definitely be back for more helpful advice and amazing customer service!

I had a great experience buying my beta to begin with, but when i came in a week later with some concerns they blew it out of the water with the customer service!!! The aquatics and reptiles specialist eased all my concerns, was super informative and very very nice! They gave advice on decor and floating plants and was so so pleasant. Super happy with my experience.
