I'm glad to see how Lower Mainland's brewing scene is growing, so visiting one of POCO's breweries was necessary. The taproom is located in a quiet place and pretty cozy itself. Once we arrived, there were only two other patrons, but the place got pretty busy by the time we left. It looks like they put a lot of time into porters and stouts, which I'm not into currently; however, I think they produce great products. I've read comments where people blame brewers for mixing unmixable, and quite honestly, I haven't tasted anything like that. I wasn't a big fan of some beers, which is absolutely normal, but I definitely can't tell that there was a bad or lousy brew. I thought Jamaican Pale Ale had a unique addition of spices, Gimme the Loot dark IPA was unexpected deliciousness, and BA Juicy Hazy was great. Also, if you have someone with you who is not into beers much, Christmas CREAM is a good choice for them. I wanted to try Solstice IPA, but unfortunately, it wasn't available on tap, so I took a 4-pack home along with 12 oz glassware, and I regret nothing.

Tried North Paw Brew Co beer for the first time this December and was so pleasantly delighted! Christmas C.R.E.A.M. is one of my favourite seasonal beers around. Will definitely keep this place on my list for local breweries to support in 2021!

Really enjoyed Northpaw as I prefer darker beers. Gimme that loot black IPA and checkmate Baltic porter were phenomenal. They specialize in creams and IPA. Great service great bathrooms. Really enjoyed their lounge chairs outside with half cut keg tables. Highly recommend for a beer in Poco.

Just came in on Sunday evening, had some beers and a flight. Good beer prices. The C.R.E.A.M sicle ale was waay better then I expected. Not overpowering orange flavor. Almost like a beer mimosa! Even took home a 4pack👌Sad they ran out of the Cuban ale. But I'll be back for that one!

North paw pumpkin ale review
This pumpkin ale pours a dark brown color, which makes you feel like you're drinking fall.
Upon first sniff, you'll get a hint of spice and a traditional pumpkin flavor. I find the pumpkin flavor to be a bit weak, which is understandable since it's hard to get a strong pumpkin flavor in the first sip, so it may be a hit or miss for those looking for a strong pumpkin flavor.
The spice comes through in the flavor, but it's not overpowering, creating a harmonious balance with the malt and hop profile of the beer. The pumpkin flavor is subtle and accents and adds nuance to the flavor profile rather than dominating it.
The body of this ale is medium, providing enough substance to carry the flavors without being too heavy or too light. It works well with the overall flavor, making it a satisfying and easy-drinking beer.
If there is room for improvement, it's the head retention. The foam dissipates relatively quickly, which can affect the initial aroma experience. There could be a number of reasons for this. My guess is that the amount of carbonation is a bit low.
Overall, this pumpkin ale captures the essence of fall in one glass. It may lack in some areas, such as head retention and a weak pumpkin flavor, but the flavor balance and body make up for it. If you like a more natural and subtle pumpkin flavor, this ale is for you.
Cheers!

I visited Northpaw Brew Co. and sampled a flight. My favourite selection was "Business as Usual," a rich IPA with intense fruity flavours and a smooth mouthfeel. "The Little Red Corvet" was rich and robust, offering a sweet, caramelized taste. It's precisely what you'd hope for in a red ale, and it certainly didn't disappoint. "Ring the Alarm," their Mexican lager, was a refreshing surprise. It had a crisp and clean taste with low bitterness, making it easy to drink. This lager was everything you'd expect from the style but with an added layer of flavour that made it a standout choice. Lastly, "The Midnight Love," a stout, rounded out the flight. While stouts are not typically my go-to choose, I had heard great things about this one. However, it may not be my personal favourite. Whether you're an IPA lover, a red ale aficionado, a lager enthusiast, or a stout connoisseur, they have something to offer for everyone.

North Paw is a good place to go have a beer or drink. I like the fact they have TVs so if the hockey game is on you can watch. The place is not crazy loud. The beers are good. I like the Business as Usual. The Jamaican rum punch is by far my favourite. It is right mix of everything and is very delicious.

After being here several times, I can confidently say that the entire experience is consistently pleasant and laid back.
The vibe here is very friendly. Combined with the other locations close by, it makes for a great group of stops along my bike route.

Stopped by for a Flight and a Pint with the girlfriend. Excellent beer and comfortable seating. Had a sandwich, while she had a Jamaican Patty. Both were quite good, would continue coming back 👍

They have a large variety of beers to choose from and every one I tried was spot on. It has a traditional “brewery” feel inside which I liked. Staff were kind, friendly and knowledgeable. We shared a meat and cheese board as well that was yummy to snack on. I will be back! I am obsessed with all the “rose” beers, keep them coming!

Love their beer. Great people and cool setting. The Blueberries and C.R.E.A.M is awesome. Firehall mexican Lager is pretty outstanding too. Although the patio is in the parking lot, they have made it nice by adding red Deck chairs
