Le Passeur Carillon Pointe-Fortune Ferry

Great ferry, they don't make you wait forever like others do to pack it. They will leave empty from the opposite shore if they see one car waiting! Great service.

Small and quick ferry service across the Ottawa river just below the Carillon dam. Fare was $10 tax included for cars and regular SUVs and pick ups. Check their website for latest fares by vehicle type.

I don't know why google maps is so inaccurate with the time it takes to cross the river. They always add 30 min to your drive when in reality it only takes about 10 to 15 minutes to cross the river.

I never had a bad service there and the prices are more than fair. The people there do their best to fit cars safely and as fast as they can while making sure you won't hit anything. I always use this ferry instead of the other ones nearby or the bridge in Hawkesbury as it is always faster (even if Gmaps says otherwise).

It's fun to have some time off the road and the views there are incredible (electric dam and epic sunsets).

Enjoyed it a lot! Saved 45km to go to my daughter in Rigaud! Worth every penny!!

With the Ontario border restrictions Le Passeur have been excellent and very proactive in controlling the overflow of travelers waiting in long lines. Spotters come out onto the road waiting line to squeeze every vehicle that can fit on boat. This instills confidence and more patience from customers. Great job! 👍

Love this ferry, its cheaper than the Hudson ferry for a truck and seems more personal, its a shorter trip than Hudson and the view isn't quite as good but having used both many times we prefer to us this one when possible..

Takes about 10 minutes. Easy on easy off. It's not one of the biggest ferries, so if you show up during a rush/prime.hour, you will have to wait.

Staff are very friendlt

This ferry is faster than the one in Hudson-Oka. Perfect to go from the trans Canada to hwy 50.
