Tek Climate Heating and Air Conditioning

After taking at least 5 quotes from different HVAC companies I settled on TEK. I requested a senior tech for the quote as I had some concerns that only experience could answer I was surprised when the owner Chris came! He explained every question I had, listened to my concerns about my old house and found a solution that worked for me without pushing expensive products. He worked within my budget and genuinely wanted to work my job. TEK’s packages included a decent labour warranty, thermostat/condensation pump/permit all worked into the quote. Throughout our conversation it was apparent that he was a great boss too. As a tech in my own industry that is important to me. That detail was what actually sold me on his company.
TEK was able to accommodate a fast delivery and install. On the day of install I was told the techs would be late as the product ordered did not arrive. TEK upgraded me on the spot to a higher end unit. Guy and Lucas arrived and were friendly and professional to work with. Any question I had they answered. My house had multiple issues they had to tackle which set them back on time- but they were able to focus on my install and didn’t rush the job. There was minimal damage w paint getting the old furnace out and install of new thermostat, but nothing a bit of drywall, a coat of paint and sanding won’t take care of. I think most customers should expect this with a new install. Room for improvement - not much I can think of…Maybe just a bit more attention to prep around the work area to ensure less damage and a final sweep after install of the property.

Had the team at TEK climate install a Mitsubishi hyper-heat and I could not be any happier with the results. The install was incredibly professional and they were very accommodating to my specific requests.

The support line is superb. They're always happy to take a call and quick to respond to any questions.

Just had my 1 year follow up and it was also excellent. At 1 year, the hyper heat is running as amazingly as possible. The compressor is whisper quiet and the house is as comfortable as desired.

Would not hesitate to recommend them as an installation service for heat pumps.

Excellent service, very responsive to questions during the quotation stage. When Guy and Lucas arrived on site, they have me a good assessment and how long the installation would take and they were quite accurate on the time. They did a great job installing my furnace and heat pump, and left everyhting neat and tidy. Great communication throughout the entire process. Highly recommend this company.

I would give six stars if there was a choice !! Tek delivered what they promised. I received the superb service from the office (Mae & the office ladies), the estimator (Ben), installation team (Guy, Eric & Lucas) and the manager (Chris). Tek is honest and no hidden costs. They were attentive to details and make sure I'm 100% satisfied. The finished area was tidy and clean so I don't need to rush finding a drywaller to patch up the affected area immediately. When I needed adjustments to reduce the noise level, they sent a technician right away. This demonstrates they genuinely care about their customers. My family is absolutely happy with the new heat pump !!

I got several quotes before I contracted with Tek. They weren't the cheapest or the most expensive, and I liked what they said on their website about customer service. My job was replacing the 40+ year old boiler in my 1927 old timer. Anytime you are doing a renovation in an old house, there is always an element of uncertainty to the plan. How contractors handle that uncertainty is what separates professionals from the rest of the pack. When unforeseen circumstances necessitated multiple visits to my property, Tek remained professional and friendly. They didn't charge me extra either. The new combination boiler and hot water heater works great and looks really slick as per the attached photos. Great work by the crew all around.

If you need to change your old furnace or water heater, Tek is the one you should go with. their crew members have done a fantastic job and cleaned everything before they left. worked all the way from 8am - 3am!!! May also helped me to get the refund from fortis! which saved me a lot of money.

This company gave us exceptional service with replacement of our gas furnace. First point of contact was the estimator who gave is two competitive quotes and a time frame of when the work could be done. The install team showed up when they said they would, came prepared to do the work and navigated a small obstacle very efficiently. From beginning to end it was a professional job and I will recommend them to whoever values quality work (who doesn't). No wonder they give a longer warranty to their work - they do it right the first time.

Tek was great from our first contact! They quickly responded to my inquiry (other companies either never respond, or do so weeks later). They sent out a crew within a couple days, even though it wasn't an urgent job. They then promptly followed-up to confirm the job had been completed to my satisfaction.

I wish all contractors could run their businesses so efficiently! I will definitely use their services again.

Jonathan, the rep who we first dealt, with was super personable and helpful. He was very patient with our many, many questions. The team who removed the old equipment and installed the new furnace and A/C was very friendly, efficient and responsive. When our stove failed to work after install of a new sub panel, the electrician came back all the way from Abbotsford to fix the problem. No hidden fees or surprises. Big shout out to Jonathan, Guy, Eric and Taylor and of course the admin folks in the office including Mae. 😁. So far, so good. Thanks Tek!

Tek has been great! When our furnace died in 2022 on a Friday they were super responsive and went out of their way to install a furnace right away. This year (2023) our hot water tank rusted out and again they came through for us right away. Mae is wonderful and the main contact we had. The service professionals have all been great and respectful in our home. Even the owner Chris reached out when we had some questions. Thanks Tek, I highly recommend this company

From the beginning (consulting from Chris, the owner) to the end (installation), I 100% satisfied with Tek. Guy and Jonny (technicians) were very kind and worked well. If you want to hire someone for installing heating and cooling system, don't waste of time. I called 5 different places and Tek gave me the best price and right option.

The job was just completed today and I can not say enough about our positive experience with this company. They are very responsive. You can always talk to a person who even knows what they’re talking about. Their installers, Lucas, Guy, Tim and Keah were great and put my 87 year old mom at easy. What Tek said they would do, they did. When they saw that something could be done a better way they did that — even tho it took more time to do (but not increasing the quote). They might not be the cheapest company but what ever I might have paid that was more than the next company I got back ten fold in peace of mind. Here’s hoping the product works for a good long time! I’m sure it will!

Service Tech (Heath) came out to service a property that ewe have just started to manage as a rental property. He quickly and efficiently diagnosed the problem, advised the tenant on the proper settings for heat, and within hours, TEK had sent me an estimation on replacing the required equipment. Quick, courteous and factual! Thank you for great service!

Our 10-year old Hot water tank failed bursting and flooding the basement. The water Shut off valve also failed forcing us to shut the Main valve. We had no water to use. The heating tank had to be replaced and water supply needed to be restored urgently.

Mae took the afterhours call and helped us manage the situation quickly. Options were presented quickly and someone came over our place to restore water service after a few hours.

We decided on the install of a Tankless system Navien NPE240A. Andy and Blake came over 3 days later to do the installation. They were very courteous, thoughtful and professional during the install.

Chris (owner) rang to check and ensure that we were happy with the install. This was much appreciated.

Mae emailed, texted and rang me throughout the process to keep me informed and assisted me with the Fortis rebate application. She monitored and tracked progress closely. She took full ownership from start to finish - handled it expertly and smoothly.

The Navien tankless hot water system is performing well so far, we are happy customers who would gladly recommend and refer Tek Climate to others.

Tek installed a brand-new heating solution (a high-efficiency boiler providing home heating via cast-iron radiators and also domestic hot water via an indirect tank) last fall. The installation was a bit complicated, and it took a little back-and-forth to get it working perfectly, but the Tek crew were always ready and eager to come fix the initial hiccups in a timely fashion. Since then, the system has worked problem-free, and I have noticed a big savings on my gas bill. (Tek also took care of the Fortis rebate on my behalf.) The City of Vancouver inspector also praised the cleanliness and quality of the installation, which was nice to hear.

I just had Matt come by to do the free first-year inspection / tune-up and he was prompt, friendly, efficient, and even took a few minutes to help me figure out something with my gas fireplace (which wasn't even the main purpose of the service call!).

Finding a good skilled trades company can be a real pain, but based on my experience I would definitely recommend reaching out to Tek.

They were friendly, professional, and they did great work. Everything was done according to the quote and the place was spotless afterwards.

I got several quotes before selecting a company to do this work, and although Tek wasn't the cheapest quote, they handled more of the work (permits, electrician) and seemed more knowledgeable. After the work is done, I'm still very glad I went with them!
