Soft cheesecake, famous Japanese cheesecake, good texture and rich in flavour. They have another flavour on a special day.

Had heard lot about this place, finally I got there and witness the process and taste their cheese cake. I must say it’s fantastic light,fluffy, less sweet and melting in mouth. Good part it’s serve right out of the oven and fresh. Best cheese cake ever. You should try it to believe.

It's a lot better. The male cashier was efficient and professional in his work. The cheesecake tasted great, and the store was super clean.

Their Matcha cheesecake tasted really good. It’s light and flavourful. The lineup went by quickly.

Some areas of improvement: I notice there was a South Asian male staff that was coughing, and he didn’t wear any mask.

The female cashier was wearing facemask but she touched it with her hands. Maybe she should use hand sanitizer or wash hands? The cashier was fast in her service, which was good for long lineups. The other staff workers were really friendly and dedicated on their work.

I was getting my hair cut and talking about a very disappointing birthday cake that I had purchased and that I had just baked a cheesecake instead. Daryll my stylist said that Uncle Tetsu's is the best in Vancouver out in Metro town. So I packed up the wife, daughter, and grandson the next day and bought 4 Yuzu cheesecakes for a small dinner party. These are a little on the small side but big on flavor. These really are the best that I've ever had in Vancouver, it's a good thing I live in kelowna so I'm still king there.

This little joint is dope, an awesome hidden gem and easily a five star without a doubt!!
Whipping up perfectly balanced sweet snacks to chow down on the go. 100% recommend and so stoked I decided to go. Japanese cheesecake is the best and this chain is awesome and make extremely delicious tasty treats. I was worried this was going to be super dry, but it was actually really good and has a nice crusty outer shell with a fluffy light wedge of goodness in the middle!
I wish they would do the matcha Madeline's on at least one weekend day as I don't live close enough to any of them to make it during the week opening hours. If they could also look at vegan options would be awesome!

Service was fast and friendly. I ordered the cheesecake and cheese tarts (6).
Both were very fresh. The cake was light and fluffy and not too sweet. This is the second time I've had the cake and it was just as good as the first time so consistency is on point.
First time for the cheese tarts. The tart shell was like a pie crust and the filling was oozing cheese and sooo good!
Uncle Tetsu's is a must try!

Probably the best cheesecake in Vancouver. I got the original cheesecake at about 5pm this evening and saw that the cake was burnt on top. The sales rep gave me another one in no time. They have the best cheesecake and also the best customer service. The best part about their cheesecake is that it is not very sweet like any other cheesecakes. They are also very fluffy which makes them jiggle jiggle 🎉 10/10 would buy them again!

Melt in your mouth cheesecake. The original one is better than the matcha though. It's more fragrant and tastes better

So this is what all the fuss is about. I always see this with a huge lineup. Today went out to buy gift in Disney store and I saw there's only 4 people, I immediately jump in line. Lol. I was supposed to order to try all on the menu but one is already sold out for the day. So I ordered my son's favorite cheesecake and honey Madeline. I love both of them. They're flavourful but not heavy on the tummy and smells so good. Next time I wish to try the unavailable.

Specializing in Japanese cheesecake and on certain days they have special flavours only for that day. Too bad I don’t live close enough to the shop.

Their Japanese Cheesecakes are fantastic, whether you get the original or one of their other flavours. They're so light and airy, and not too sweet. Note that their other flavours are only available on specific days, not all the time. Depending on the day and time there may be a line and you might have to wait a bit for the item you want.

Had a great cheesecake here. The cheesecake is so soft and smooth, the food is good and the staff are nice. Highly recommend checking this out. Though I wish you can order a slice instead of a whole cake.

We really enjoyed the honey madeleines. If you buy pack of 3, then you get 1 for free.

If lucky, you will be able to get it right out from the oven, it will be warm, soft, moist and buttery.

The only downside is the wait time is super long. The cashier can be a bit more efficient :)

One of our favorite japanese cheesecake place around Metrotown area. We go and grab some every couple of weeks. It has a new cheesecake logo now during the Autumn Moon Festival 10/01/2020. We've tried both of their green matcha(Mon/Wed only) and original flavors, but we prefer the original one. Actually, their cheesecake tastes better after refrigerated!

*Matcha cheesecake is slightly smaller than the original cheesecake but both with the same price.

We enjoyed Uncle Tetsu's cheesecake way more than we expected. I can't even adequately describe how delicious and fresh it is, you just have to try it! The honey madeleines are pretty good too. Recommend warming them a bit in the microwave if you don't eat them right away.

Keep in mind that the majority of those who rated this place poorly expected a Western-style cheesecake (super rich, sweet and thick), and then waited for 1 to 2 hours in line (why would you do that anyway?? It's not a limited edition!) for something that didn't meet those expectations.

This is Japanese-style cheesecake, which is very different - light, fluffy, less sweet or rich, but full of cheesy goodness with a hint of vanilla. Japanese people generally prefer their desserts to be less sweet and more subtle in flavouring than Westerners, so go in expecting that and you'll likely savour every bite!

Also, we held off on trying Uncle Tetsu's until the lines weren't so crazy. It's definitely getting better now - we waited 20 mins on a Friday night an hour before the mall closed.

Always walked by it but there was always a line up. This time a line up too but quick one, got the big cheesecake and a small one to go, so far so good! The service was quick, the gentleman at cashier was great and taste is what is to be expected. It amazes me how Japanese people get it right!

A unique cheesecake with the best spongie texture ever had. All other cheesecakes are overrated but having a treat from Uncle Tetsu has been an incredible experience. Must recommended.
