Kay's Food Market

Good little store in downtown and helpful employees. I don’t get why people complain about store’s closing early. I try to finish shopping 15 mins before closing time like most considerate people would. I will continue to shop here like all the other regulars for the good service the store provides.

P.S. I like that their ice cream goes on sale a lot. My friend and I will look out for those deals during summertime!

I am born here and I have never been here before; this place is great. Especially the convenience of this grocery store. Hidden Gem; has everything you need here. Gotta find the good deals and they are pretty good. Friendly staff, clean and very well organized.

I came here to get a bandaid because I had an accident nearby and that sucks as a tourist. Alice is a kind soul who provided me her own. As a sign of gratitude, I bought from this grocery store as a sign of gratitude for that service

Highly recommend checking this grocery store out! The fruits and veggies are fresh and are often cheaper than at main chains like Saveon (for example we grabbed 2 avocados for $3). Has everything you would need (bread, baking supplies , meats).

Very good selection considering their size, great place to buy meat, lots of good deals, very friendly staff, super convenient location. My babies and I love to go shopping here. It's a great atmosphere!

Always a pleasure. Staff are great, prices reasonable for downtown, with some great sales always. Butcher on site for excellent cuts and prices. My regular grocery store last 6 months..

They have good quality fresh produce and a good variety of groceries. Prices are fair and very often some products are on sale.

So far, I have nothing to complain. The prices are higher then other groceries stores obviously but not thaaaaat high. When you can't go to a big grocery store and need something quick, they pretty much have everything.
I shop there every week for small things and sometimes they actually have promotions in some stuff that are cheaper than other bigger brand stores.

If you're a small load and specials shopper this is the place for you. If you walk in with no idea what you want to make for dinner just have a look at what's discounted or on special and your dish is set. There's always a good deal. One of downtown Calgary's gems.

Good selection, comes in clutch if you need something on short notice on the west end of downtown. Cheaper elsewhere but your paying for ease of access. Also supporting a local business on the side.

Cute little Mom & Papa Grocery store right downtown, I got a few little extras and the store clerk was extremely helpful friendly and even offered to call a taxi for me Diffinatly ☆☆☆☆☆Stars 🌟

I love shopping here, they are so friendly all the time, convenient and they have a great selection of groceries and other non essentials.

Kay’s is a small family owned business; because of this, their prices are a bit higher. However, it is convenient to have them in the neighborhood, and to support a local shop. Some sales can give the chain shops a run for their money.

Love this little store, they have just about everything I could ask for when I am too lazy to go to coop or safeway. THey are a little more expensive but they let me bring my puppy in so it makes me very happy to shop here :)

Family run, competitive prices to the big co op and Safeway retailers close by. Support small and local businesses like this!

my girlfriend and I shop here often, we find the Fresh meat here to be VERY good and cheap, unlike the gassy disgusting bloated feeling from safeway's meat... the meats here don't give us that!
