Cedar Grove Camps

I've been coming here for years now! It is a yearly getaway that my family takes, and it could not be more amazing!! We are right on the water, and wake up to the most amazing views. There are some boat rentals available, so we always get a boat too! Black Lake has a lot to offer, and the best place to stay that is right on the lake is Cedar Grove!! Even if there is rain, it is still wonderful! I absolutely love it here!!

What an amazing week we had staying here at Cedars! Everything was absolutely perfect. We had the cabin right by the docks and beach. It was perfect for my 2 kids to play and enjoy themselves. The cabins are clean, maintained and spacious. The owner's Dave and his wife were wonderful. They do a great job keeping the whole site clean and they leave everyone alone so you can just enjoy yourself worry free. They have fishing bait on site and a community fire pit, which was a nice way to meet other people around the camp. There's also a Rec. Hall that has a washer and dryer that is coin operated, but a great option to have. There is a TV inside with a bunch of seating and various games to play. I think there is WiFi also, but I never asked for the WiFi code to connect. Honestly, I can't think of 1 negative thing to say and I really really can't wait to go back again. I won't even bother looking for another camp as long as Cedars has a cabin available..

An excellent experience. Too bad they could not control the weather. Other than that it is a very relaxing layed back vacation. Dave is a great host and sees to his vacationers needs. There were no issues except the vacation was too short. A little change this year with a new owner at the helm. Well it is easy to see this place is in good hands! The owner Nate is very personable and is to be very attentive to his patrons. We have no complaints about the changeover in management. Many nights we saw Nate walking the grounds conversing with the patrons. This owner also wants to see how their day was or just talk about whatever comes up. Nate and his boys are a perfect fit and we hope to return next year for another relaxing vacation.

It doesn't get much better than this. The campground is and always has been great to stay at. You won't find better owners.

Another great year at Black Lake!!!! Dave and Karen were awesome, as always!!! Very accommodating to their guests! Kids played on the beach during the day and bonfires at night! We rented a pontoon boat, definitely a must! When the kids weren't fishing, they were swimming!!! We cannot wait to return next year!!!

Excellent place to stay!! Clean cottages the grounds are well maintained and they have bait on site.

My father has been going to Black Lake with my grandfather and entire family since he was ten and I have been going sine the year I was born. It’s always been the best week of my life from the first morning when I am woken up before dawn to fish with my cousin, father, and grandfather to the last golden brown marshmallow that we cook on the campfire next to the beach. It’s amazing and anyone who doesn’t love the outdoors it can play board games on the lovely chairs with a family member, looking over the point out to the water to there amazing sunsets.

Its very fun the fishing is good and over all every one is nice.

Dave and his wife are very gracious hosts and have a wonderful camp. Extremely clean everything that you need on some good water for fishing. We spent one week there and we would come back again definitely

Wonderful place. Always clean. The owners put a lot of attention in to this place and they are always available and super nice. Rental boats are in great condition and run great. The price is right too, great value for the $$.

My favorite vacation spot! Nice clean cabins, stove microwave coffee pot pots pans all kitchen utensils included. There are charcoal grills available (bring coal). Just bring food and maybe a beer or two! Live bait available on site, rec room with games and a tv, Horseshoe pits. Rent a boat or dock space available!

32 years and never a bad experience!!
Dave and Karen carry on the Schaefer tradition of a well run camp with great ammenities!! We look forward to this week every year!!

Have been going for the last 4 years and it is amazing every year. The owner's are extremely helpful and kind to everyone that they meet. I would recommend going to Cedar Grove in a heartbeat to anybody

We cant say enough wonderful things about Cedar Grove.You couldn't ask for nicer folks Dave and Karen the owners.Always so accommodating and their rentals are always very clean and well maintained.This is our 6th year and is the most fun and relaxing week I could ask for.Always a week to look forward to from year to year.And hopefully many more to look forward to.

Celebrating 31 years of vacationing at camp on the lake. Love this place, the owners are so attentive, clean facilities. Relaxing on the lake is a must

It's a cozy little camp ground for families who want to get away to someplace quiet and serene. There are places to swim and fish, or just relax and look out onto black lake.

Great family place or just for the guys on black lake!!! Clean and well kept. Dave and Karen are awesome!!!
