I have personally worked with these guys for since 2006 and have nothing but good things to say.

Had been referred to Spagnuolo from mortgage broker for them to handle the sale of current home and purchase of new home.

Honestly had very bad experience; first, they would not provide complete details of their rates/fees (not other party's fees, just talking about Spag fees to client)...we chased them on this for some time and consistently they quoted one or the other fee but never the total of their fees and always, right till the end, they omitted important fees which could have been provided from the start.

Secondly, the first and only meeting did not include the person actually handling our file. Basically a clerk works the file and has all first-hand knowledge, but you meet with a lawyer who clearly has no no time, interest, or knowledge aside from the papers in front of them (clearly he hadn't even looked before the meeting), nor any inclination to address any client concerns.

There were several errors on our file, incorrect information flowing to / from bank, etc. Wasted lots or time and created lots of risk, concern on our part...the lawyer simply couldn't be bothered and most often put the blame back on us/client, even after it was 100% confirmed their error, got no apology, nor reply to emails.

In the end I would strongly recommend using a notary or at least a different lawyer; and meet them in advance to get all costs quoted before agreeing to proceed.
