Sandy's Bake Shoppe

Sandy's Bake Shoppe is a really cute bakery with delicious tarts. It is also very close to the harbor and park which is a perfect place to enjoy them with the view!

It’s unfortunate to read so many mediocre reviews.

I would agree with others the storefront is very small but that didn’t change the ability to spend a few minutes in reviewing what was available.

Our service was good. The staff said hello, and had a couple recommendations to what was good in the bakery.

The bar with shortbread, caramel and milk chocolate was to die for. I would drive the 40 minutes just to eat that again.

The date and apple bar was good but I would suggest forgoing the apple. Then it would be delicious. It was put together well, and definitely fresh.

I would recommend this bakery to anyone!

I stopped at this bakery yesterday. Small but full of tastey baked goodies. I tried the blueberry and banana muffins. They were almost good, but a little more in oven was required. Breads and loaves seems also yummy, which will try on my next tour.

The best part was the people, kind, nice and warm welcoming. The coffee also is available.

It is unfortunate that the store front is small andonly one person would fit. However, a canopy would help to accommodate and comfort the people whom lined up outside.(there were 4-5 people behind me).

Stopped at this place on the way to Egmont. Right in front of Gibsons Pier. Bake shop with very good pastries. Butter Crossiant is a must try. Variety of baked goods to choose from. Drop by to support our local vendors if you are visiting sunshine coast.

Covid precautions were in place

Super friendly and the baked goods were so delicious! We tried a cinnamon roll (not sicky sweet, lovely amount of cinnamon), an apple tart (fresh tasting and perfectly balanced flavours), a monkey bar (tasted like a snickers but waaaay better), and a chocolate/shortbread cookie (so light and buttery). Very impressed and will definitely be a stop we make next time through town!

picked up some treats while we were camping on the coast- SO GOOD! Almond tart, Bakewell tart, Millionaire bar and Date square- all delicious. And we are very picky about date squares/matrimonial cake, so this is not hollow praise. Lovely staff as well, so keep up the good work!

I think this place is tops. All of the yum yums. So far, in my little, Sandy’s journey of trying everything, I have not been disappointed. Eating an apple fritter anywhere else is like a bomb in the gut, not Sandy’s, same satisfaction without the heaviness. And all the ladies in there are awesome to talk to.

This place opens well before the rest of the shops in downtown Gibson's, so I made a point of coming here for breakfast. It's tiny! Therefore no seats. But who wants to sit inside when the cute streets are covered in benches and when there are a park and a promenade so close by? The girls working there were friendly to me. Not overly so, but I'm not an especially outgoing person myself. They took my credit card without any qualms. They sold pies, loaves of bread, bags of cookies, quiches, little chicken pot pies, stuffed croissants, and an assortment of individual goodies. I had a gluten free banana chocolate chip muffin because I wanted banana chocolate chip, not because I eat gluten free, but it was delicious and so fresh. I also saw a vegan brownie and a gluten free brownie. I also had a butter tart which was the best pastry I'd ever had, and a spinach and feta croissant that they offered to warm up for me. (Multiple visits, don't worry). I definitely recommend picking something up here.

I dropped by this bakery during my last day in Gibson. I have never had a better tasting muffin cake before. I wanted to come back to tell Sandy how great it was and buy more but didn't have a chance. 1000% recommend this place!!! SO GOODDD

I have had so many delicious things from here, but the most important one being our Wedding Cake! I wasn't sure exactly what I wanted, so we went down and spoke with them. They took down my preferences, and came up with a delicious recipe. They gave us tester cupcakes to try it out, as well as a quote for the real deal. It was so unbelievably delicious! On the day of the wedding, I was blown away at how big a cake we received, which is always a good thing. The venue we chose had dessert already worked into the menu, so everyone only had a small piece of cake on the big day. It had fresh custard and raspberries, so rather than trying to freeze the rest, I decided it had to be eaten. Everyone who had some said it was absolutely delicious, and I made sure that every last piece was eaten! ;)

This is a fabulous bakery run by good people with lovely staff. On top of their regular baked goods, they offer a great selection of gluten free concoctions that are enjoyed by all. Seriously amazing gluten free banana chocolate muffins! You don’t have to be GF to enjoy. They also make a really good GF bread, but only on Tuesday and it is best to order in advance as they don’t make a lot.

Amazing baked goods! The sausage rolls were flaky and so savory. The white chocolate raspberry cheesecake was rich and creamy...and the black forest cake we special ordered was to die for. Excellent customer service!

OMG so good! What a wonderful surprise! We were strolling thru the village looking for a casual quick bite for lunch. Settled here for ham & cheese croissant, spinach & feta croissant, blueberry muffin, slice of spinach tomatoe feta quiche. ALL SO DELICIOUS! Fresh, flavourful, tender, crispy, buttery, not too salty. Enjoyed our lunch on a bench across the street, watching the activity in the marina 😋

Had the best cheese cake I've ever had. Blueberry white chocolate cheesecake. So good!

Tasty baked goods in reasonable price. I really loved their cheesecake tart and croissant!!

Everything they make is delicious, whether it's sweet or savory you're in for a treat. They give fantastic customer service also, it's quickly become my favorite bake shop on the coast.

I bought 6 Morning Glory muffins months ago. Ate 2 before putting the other 4 into the freezer and forgetting about them. Well, I took one out of the freezer last night to have this morning and cannot believe how delicious it was. Do not stop making these muffins Sandy!!! And don't even get me started on the Raspberry Cheesecake tarts!

Best Bakewell tarts on Earth . Pineapple upside down muffins to die for , yummy Hot Cross buns . and tonight I am about to try Sandy's Carrot cake ....... forgot to mention the incredible fresh fruit pies..... 😋
