I had to make the devastating but selfless decision to put my fur baby of 17 years down. He hurt himself on a Saturday and because most vets are closed on weekends, I had a hard time getting a hold of one.

From the minute my call was answered, I felt calming. The receptionist/tech on the phone was super sympathetic and knowledgeable. They were able to get me in same day.

When we arrived we were placed in a very nicely decorated room with a couch and a table for my pet with a blanket for my pet to lay on.

Through the entire process everyone was very supportive and sympathetic. This was the first time I have ever had to put a pet down, and given this was my first pet… it made it even harder.

The vet techs and veterinary were wonderful. I highly recommend this vet office.

Thank you so much Campus Estates for your support. I will never forget it. ❤

I can’t say enough good things. But in short, Dr. Ginger was caring, patient and well educated. She made me feel so much better about leaving my bunny Puffy for surgery and overnight care.
All the vet techs were very kind, patient and educated.
I’ve had to call a few times now to ask questions and the receptionists were willing and kind to help me.
Thank you so much for treating my bunny like princess!

I had an exceptional experience at this vet clinic! Despite calling at 9.30pm with a lengthy drive ahead, the front desk staff was incredibly kind and swiftly booked an appointment for my bunny.
Upon arrival, the wait was minimal, and Dr. Alexander Brown provided a thorough emergency examination. Professional and compassionate, Dr. Brown checked our rabbit's vital signs, assured us about our bunny's stomach condition, and prescribed three types of medications.
The results were remarkable – within hours of administering the medication, our bunny was back to being active and started to eat hay.
Grateful for the efficient and caring service, acceptable price as well. Highly recommend this clinic, especially Dr. Brown!

I had looked for a long time for a vet to neuter my bunny may. I am so so happy i choose to come here, they are so patient and kind and friendly. They never rushed and took their time explaining everything. They were so helpful throughout the whole process. I would definitely recommend choosing guelph campus estates to neuter/spay your bunny.

I cannot say more good things about Campus Estates. They took absolutely amazing care of my chinchilla Piper. She had to stay a few nights and they were very efficient at keeping us updated and even organizing visits with us! They really were above and beyond! No matter what time of day they are always willing to help.

Only 24hr emergency vet who handles small and exotic pets the I’ve found, amazing and compassionate staff who helped with two of my guineapigs over a few years who unfortunately needed end of life emergency care. They have a very nice set up for your final moments with your pet and the staff are patient and kind. Thank you all again for taking care of my babies.

Our quaker parrot Jaco was in need of emergency care. Avian vets are hard to find. We were there late Friday night and then had to rush back Saturday (hour and 15 min drive). We called in advance and as soon as we got in the door they took Jaco and started treatment on him.

Once he was stable the Dr spoke with us, she was realistic about cost and outcomes and did no try to push unnecessary tests and asked our wishes about CPR etc.

We chose to leave him there to see if they could save his life but sadly they were not able to. They made us feel comfortable and showed a real care and love for birds.

The Dr called us at home to ask us how we wanted to proceed as before they started major treatments as he was not responding and we decided it was time to say goodbye. They were with him and we know they took great care of him in his last moments when we could not be there.

They were compassionate and empathetic and offered lots of support - even offering to options for transporting him to our local vet.

Although the outcome was not we wanted we were thankful for the prompt and caring treatment we received

RIP Jaco

My dog had been in for surgery with our normal vet a couple of weeks ago, and on Saturday night at 7:30pm we realized his incision had completely opened up. The normal vet was closed, so I called every emergency clinic I could. Most were closed or full, and a few others had a 4+ hour wait. I ended up bringing the dog into Guelph from Brantford at 9:15. It was a very long night and he went in to surgery at about 2am and was discharged an hour or so later. I slept in my car for a bit, it was -3 out so friendly reminder to keep a blanket in your car, ideally not one covered in dog blood but sometimes you've got to make do...

The staff here were all amazing. Everyone was compassionate and very sweet with my dog. I asked a vet tech to watch him for a minute so I could run to my car and get his blanket, she immediately went to the back to fetch one for him. The same tech called a colleague around the front desk to admire his eyebrows.

The cost was at the low end of their initial quote, which was still expensive but I knew that going in. I do like my normal vet, but my experience here was honestly so positive, despite the miserable circumstances, that I'd seriously consider switching vets if it weren't for the hour drive.

Sebastian the ball python with respiratory infection. (Video you can hear him gurgling)

(Short version )I went to campus estate animal hospital today February of 2024 and my experience was great , vetbvisit with medication between 200 to 300 I don't like posting exact cost because prices change but it was closer to $200

(Long version)
little back story .

I have had my snakes 17 years I love them dearly but I haven't had stable housing for very long so they have lived with the best friends a girl can ask for and they have been taking really good care of my babies for a long time ... too long ... when I got them I worked like a animal and money wasn't a concern but a work injury has had me not working for a long time and my income is pathetic now so when my female became sick I cried my eyes out with the knowledge that a different vet charged my same friends over $500+ x 2 or 3 to treat her snakes respitory infection a year early. so my friend did the vapor treatment that has become popular and she got better but my boy became ill after and seemed a bit worse , knowing my limited income I went all over the internet trying to find the medicine so I could threat him myself because I have worked in the animal industry and had life worked the way I wanted I would have become a vet, I'm comfortable doing a lot of things others would never do ... so after balling my eyes out and reaching out to reptile groups knowing I don't have $600 one commenter said "hey have you called the vet in Guelph? First thing I thought was oh ya the school but I called and the shut down their reptile clinics a year ago so I went back and asked are you talking about the college and she responded no its called "campus estate..." I didn't know until I drove up to the building that I had taken a friend there years earlier but I didn't remember it's name, I remembered her positive experience so going in i dreading how much I thought this might cost I went in they looked at Sebastian confirmed what I knew to be the issue and got the medicine ready the vet was great I walk out to pay and OH MY HOLY GOD it was under $300 !@$%@!% under $300!!!!! Closer to $200 !##%# I nearly started balling my eyes out AGAIN I was so happy I didn't have to borrow $600 to cover the bill !!!!! I've been so lucky this was the first time my snakes have ever been sick I knew at the time I brought them into my life exotic vets were usually more pricey but 17 years ago money wasn't a problem like it is now and they don't have reptile pet insurance witch is how I deal with unexpected costs for my dogs so I don't end up in a situation where I stress my self until I'm physically ill over money thinking I cant afford to save the life of my pets when they are the most precious things in my life they keep me going daily literally.
Well my boy had his first treatment and I know it still may not work but I'm pretty optimistic that he will be fine thanks to my amazing friends , campus estate and that person who commented on my post telling me to try them.

We were very fortunate to have found Campus Estates Animal Hospital. Their compassion and expertise was greatly appreciated every time we had to book an emergency appointment for our two rabbits. It was very difficult to find a 24hr emergency vet, let alone one that takes exotic pets one the area. Every appointment we made we were met with the up most expertise and compassion for our pets.

We eventually had to say goodbye to both of our bunnies (9yrs &10 yrs old) last year in the comfort and care of Campus Estates and we are forever thankful. Each member of their staff went above and beyond for us and our rabbits. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Campus Estates Animal Hospital for helping us to grieve and heal as we look back on those final moments we shared with our furry family members.

I highly, highly recommend the team at Campus Estates. We recently had a very scary experience with our new puppy who ended up being at Campus Estates for 4 nights. Dr. Jess and Dr. Alec, as well as the entire team of technicians and admin staff, were SO kind through it all. They answered our many questions, explained all of our options and test results thoroughly, and most importantly, showed incredible empathy and kindness. As new puppy owners this was essentially our very first veterinary experience, and although it was a scary few days for us, we knew that our puppy was getting the absolute best care from the best people. When we finally brought our girl home, they even sent us with a get well card signed by many members of the staff. This was truly the best possible experience given the stressful circumstances, and I will be recommending Campus Estates to every pet owner I know!

Thank you so much to the team for providing care to our bunny, Oreo. Oreo was in a critical state this morning, and the team was incredibly compassionate and worked hard to stabilize Oreo. They gave me some tips to keep her warm for the hour drive, and were quick to receive when we arrived.

Unfortunately Oreo did not make it, but I know her final hours were comfortable, loving and warm. We will miss our little bunny, but thankful to the team for making sure her passing was peaceful.

We took our cat here after she sustained an eye injury, and a mild concussion from running into a wall. We ended up going to the emergency after hours clinic. You had to call them to be let in, and they asked that you call ahead to book an appointment time if possible.

The staff are all incredibly friendly and helpful. The doctor that saw us was very gentle and did a great job, keeping our cat happy. The prices were very reasonable, and we felt like we were getting a lot of value for the service that they were providing.

We liked them so much that we are going to keep them as our full-time bet moving forward. Thank you campus Estates for helping our cat recover!

Thank you to everyone at Campus Estates. I'm eternally grateful.

Highly recommended. Although for a not so great event... End of life care.. this clinic was so amazing in how they worked with us. I was quite emotional when we arrived and there were able to navigate our visit with care and professionalism but also compassion. Greatly appreciated.

Campus Estates has truly been one of the only medical spaces that I feel respects their clients (both human and animal) in full. They have never failed to meet me with compassion and support in even the most high stress of situations, be it in person, through email, or over the phone. Even though they’re quite the drive from me, I don’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone who needs help for their pets.

I brought my big boy over to this wonderful clinic on Friday after he ingested a yak chew and our regular clinic was not available, I was very stressed out and Nunzio was very uncomfortable. Everyone was very kind and compassionate, they were very detailed and through, and very loving towards Nunz. It really gave me price of mind as I drove in from Hamilton. I cannot thank them enough for their great service and how they made time for everyone that came in. I was very scared and everyone was very comforting, I am happy with the services that were provided here I cannot thank them enough for how caring they were!!! I hope you all enjoyed the treats ❤
